What you eat has a direct impact on your mind.  When you eat food that is made from the flesh of animals, you subconsciously and even consciously know that the meat has been obtained by killing an animal. Everyone knows very well that no animal would jump with joy and offer its head under the butcher’s machete. Such food which is a result of gore, pain and death, is not considered to be Sattvic and hence the effect it has on the mind of the person eating it, for obvious reasons cannot be Sattvic.

Humans are not carnivorous. We do not have the kind of teeth or jaws that carnivorous animals possess. You cannot spring on a cow, bite it, kill it and eat its raw meat. Vegetarianism and Veganism are stages of human evolution. There comes a time when humans realise that they not only do not need meat, but that meat is also detrimental to their own bodies and soul.

It is heartening to see that Veganism is spreading in the West and that is where fashion begins. They have no religious, but only moral and health reasons to take to Veganism. One of the renowned champions of Veganism, Dr. Michael Klaper uses the term ‘Calf growth fluid’ to describe cow’s milk. He’s right! Has anyone heard of a tiger drinking cow’s milk or, for that matter, any adult animal drinking mammary milk?

The first step in preparing a meat dish is the MURDER of an innocent animal which loves life and is certainly unwilling to die.

About a hundred years ago, Europeans used to celebrate family get-togethers, marriages and festivals withwhat-if-cows-became-man-eaters sumptuous lunches.  They used to serve on the table stuffed pigs, lambs, goats, a stuffed head of a cow and so on. As time went by, things changed and people ceased stuffing large animals and roasting them as a whole. Instead, they chopped the meat into smaller pieces and served them as fried, baked or boiled dishes. Actually, this is also a kind of evolution in the human diet.  As time went by, young children began to express their disagreement with the slaughtering of animals. This process has taken a while in Western countries, but all this will certainly lead to a completely meat-free diet for humans in the future.

There is absolutely no need to kill, torture or even cause discomfort to animals in order to satisfy the palate of humans. If man’s food causes pain or death to an animal, it is not clean food, but the death and pain of a voiceless animal on the plate. There were times when, due to climatic conditions, that man was dependent on eating the meat of animals. Later on, human civilisations developed and vegetarianism became a part of human culture. Kindness is a great and divine virtue. If one is not able to help other humans or animals, he or she should at least refrain from hurting them.

Have you ever seen animals queuing up before abattoirs or bovine animals lining up before dairy farms to offer their meat and milk respectively? What else but absolute cruelty it is to kill an animal that wants to live its full life, or steal the milk that a bovine animal produces for its own babies? Sorry for this cheeky question, and with all due respect to women, would you be willing to consume human milk? No? Then why the milk of a female animal? And then you call the cow your mother? Really? Show me where in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita ask people to drink milk or offer Him milk. The fact is that humans are the only species that drink mammary milk even in their adulthood. No animal does that. Have you seen bulls or cows drinking milk, even if it was their own mother’s?

Patrik Baboumian a famous Iranian-born German-Armenian VEGAN bodybuilder was once asked, “How can you get as strong as an ox without eating any meat?” Patrik’s answer was, “Have you ever seen an ox eating meat?”

“Most adults (around 65–70% of the world’s population) are affected by lactose malabsorption. Other mammals normally lose the ability to digest lactose after weaning, and this was the ancestral state of all humans before the recent evolution of lactase persistence, which extends lactose tolerance into adulthood.” – Source Wikipedia

With such a large percentage of adult humans around the world being typically lactose intolerant and having digestive problems, it can be inferred that once they were weaned from breast milk when they were little children, all of them were forced into dairy consumption.

For the sake of your health and that of your loved ones, do not simply believe everything that the media tells you to do. Remember that they are the mouthpiece of major industries and of those who rule over and control the masses.

My golden advice to you: Be absolutely sure of what you send down your alimentary canal.

All living beings are EQUALLY DIVINE.
“The soul is the same in all living creatures, although the body of each is different.” -Hippocrates
“When I look into the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul.” -Anthony Douglas William

Your stomach is neither a garbage bin, a septic tank for animal liquids, nor a cemetery for murdered animals. Respect your body, in which the Supreme Self personified as Krishna resides.

I wish you excellent health, strength, peace, and a long and fruitful life.

Jai Shri Krishna
