    • Dear all,

Hope all of you are fine. The corona virus lockdown has paralyzed the whole country. People with small children must be finding it very difficult to keep them inside the house but what to do we have to put up with this and cross this risky stage.

I am praying for the good health of all the people. I request you all to stay indoors and be extra cautious.

      Love and affection from Delhi,

  1. Namaste everyone.

One of my friends called me and requested me for help. Her son is currently stuck in Candolim near Goa. The boy is 19 years old. The hotel in which he was staying has thrown him out as he is European. He needs to get to the airport to avail the arrangement done by the German authorities along with their Indian counterparts.

Should anyone of you be willing to help by coordinating at least on phone, you may send me a mail for further details.

    Thank you.

    Jai Shri Krishna

    • Namaste everyone.

I thank all of you kind people who offered to help the young German boy who is stuck in Goa. He is now safe and is in contact with the German consulate so there is no worry anymore.

My special thanks to my former student Kedar Lele from Sawantwadi, who communicated with the boy, advised him on what he could do to stay safe, and for reassuring him that he would always be reachable to him on phone.

May all stay blessed with the ring of protection of Shri Bhagavan Dhanvantari.

      Jai Shri Krishna

      • Dear Sir,

I was honored the moment when you thought of my name to suggest to your friend with a feeling of being in need 😉

I knew there was nothing much I could do but still in such situations just the availability of someone who you can approach with your concerns, itself is a reason to be comfortable.

After confirming from the tone of this young boy’s voice on the phone that he is safe and comfortable with regards to accommodation and the locality, I suggested him to contact the nearest police station and keep them informed.

Also assured him that he can count on me in case of any uncalled for situation.

Now, that he is in touch with the German consulate and everything is falling in place, I kind of feel relieved.

What you did straightaway calmed down a distraught mother who was panicking about her son’s wellbeing in a foreign land.

          Be safe and stay blessed.

    • Namaste dearest sir,

It is very nice of you to pray for everybody in different traditions and reminding to respect nature through the apt shlok from the Gita.

Hope all our members are doing good. I think you all must be also working from home.

      Best regards to all,

      • Dear Jana,

The hard copy book of Sir’s Bhagavat Gita book which you sent me is helping us a lot in the current tough time which we are facing. We all have to be very careful and stop the pandemic.

The Coronavirus – a social meliorist?

When there is a fear of death, people generally suspend all the conditions and reservations they might have in life and do everything possible to stay alive. This fear is so strong that in the event that the risk of dying is high, even powerful people ignore masking it before others. Western people, for example, who are so proud of their social traditions of expressing love through physical contact either by hugging or kissing, are now experiencing major changes in their social practices. I hope all our vrischika friends are fine. My mind was full of upheavals but now it is settling slowly. How about others?

  5. SBG 3:25 Just as ignorant people perform actions with attachment to the results, learned people perform work, but with no attachments. Their desire, if at all, is only the welfare of the world.

SBG 5:25 Those whose sins have been destroyed, whose minds are clear of doubts, and are always engaged in working for the welfare of all living beings, achieve liberation and absorption in the Supreme Bhagavan or Brahman.

  6. Namaskaram dear Tavamithram garu,

Following my phone conversation you, I would like to post this note from me and my family to thank you for initiating us to study SBG and for your newly published book. Now after studying the Gita fully it makes me wonder why we were only taught to memorize the verses but not understand them.

Last week when I was treating a patient I found myself quoting from SBg to make her feel strong. I have treated numerous patients so far but only when calamity strikes us or our near and dear people we begin to realize the need for spirituality. When my family was going through the toughest time due to my sister in law’s illness, only I know how we went looking for all kinds of spiritual help to save the life of the innocent young girl. By god’s grace you were one of the good souls we came to know about. I don’t know how many times I must have read articles like The cup of life, Kill fear and anger, life is a gift.

Thank you again for guiding us by sharing your personal experience and knowledge with us.

    Yours sincerely

    Anitha Reddy

    • Namaste.

Thank you for sharing your sentiments.

Knowing that anything can happen to anyone anytime is not only great wisdom but it also helps them remain thankful for every moment of existence and celebrate every breath as well as heartbeat.

I greatly appreciate the work you do and also because you have taken to enlightening people with the wisdom taught by Krishna. (SBG 18:68)

Best wishes to Shwetha. She is already a very blessed person to have a sister-in-law like you who loves her and treats her like a daughter.

      Stay blessed.

      • Namaskaram Tavamithram garu,

I am so glad to receive your reply! Thank you so much for your kind words and your support. It means so much to me and my family.

Due to the age difference, my husband treats his sister like a daughter only so I also treat her like that. Shwetha is a very sweet and talented girl. Poor thing she had to undergo such a heavy medical treatment. Her illness had turned our lives topsyturvy. We are very grateful for your guidance and prayers from all our family and friends.

        Yours sincerely,

        Anitha Reddy

        • Dear Anitha mam,

I felt very moved to read your reply because my elder brother and my bhabi also care for me like their daughter. My bhabi is also like a good friend to me. Shwetha is definitely very lucky to be loved so dearly by you all. I can imagine what all she and you all must have been through and I am happy to know that she is cured now.

I pray to Lord Krishna to give Shwetha good health and a bright future.

          • Dear Chandrika,

Thank you for your sweet message. I have passed on your wishes to Shwetha and she is very thankful for the same.

Actually the relationship with husband’s sister is beautiful but unfortunately in many movies, the brother’s wife is shown as bad. I am glad your sister in law loves you so much.

I understand that you conduct Gita classes for your neighbours. It is very appreciable.

Always be good and do good.

            Love and best wishes,

            Anitha Reddy

  7. Namaskar Sir!

Sorry for disturbing but I would like to ask if our friends have got any positive changes after end of SS. I am waiting eagerly for the confirmation of a new job but everything is on hold. What to do sir plz advice! If anybody has good news plz share so it will encourage other people!

    Hare Krishna!

    • Dear brother Laxman .,
Jai shri krishna to all !
Even I was curious of this thing , I did checked with few friends of mine who are Vrishchikians . My views on this are it is just small time passed after 7.5 years of SS ., so one has to be very positive and have faith . It is for sure untill the final traces of our past karmas are settled we will have to keep negotiating our current troubles . Myself yet 2.5years away from end of SS ( Dhanu ) was expecting some relief in phase III but still no light across tunnel to be seen . Rather feel still so many new challenges popping few quite fatal . The only way is to remain Calm , meditative , prayful to Krishna and have faith . As sir has said this is time when we have to sharpen our saw .. do social engagement .otherwise also we cannot do any thing untill Krishna desires so .. I am continuously reading BG , everytime deep meaning comes out , memorising shlokas ,

I got a good job but it working conditions became bad. Jobs opportunities are not very good so thinking of own business but to be in UAE we need local sponsor. Situation is becoming bit tough but I am not getting worried. jo hoga woh acha hoga…..

  9. Jai Shri Krishna to sir and to all,

I would like to share my happiness after reading the Gita cover to cover. First of all I would like to say to all that the book looks really beautiful and gives a nice feeling to have in the hands. The book arrived as per the intimation sent to me by Amazon.

After doing puja of the Gita I started to read on Saturday and finished it yesterday. I am going to use it in our Gita classes. The effect of reading it in the printed book form is really different from reading on the net. Now all the chapters are so clear to me!

Again I offer sincere gratitude on behalf of our Gita class members and myself. I have one request, please try to make it easily available in Indian bookstores so that more people can buy and benefit out of it.

    Sincere thanks and regards,

  10. Namaste dear sir,

We congratulate you for releasing the hardcover of the SBG. I can imagine how much work you must have put into it!

Sir, but it is not available in the Amazon store of India. When will it come to India? Or should I order and pay in dollars? We are eager to get it for our family.

    Thank you for your guidance.

    Sincere thanks and affectionate regards,

    • Hello Vedhika,

The paperback copy is available only from Amazon USA. I had to follow a minimum price level stipulated by Amazon, and I feel that the shipping charges are quite nominal considering the fact that the book is being sent from the USA.

The paperback edition contains a Run-Through of the entire SBG in which I have used subtitles for the different topics covered. A sincere learner will surely find it very helpful in learning the scripture.

      Stay blessed.

      Jai Shri Krishna

      • Namaste dear sir,

I ordered 2 for copies because our neighbour also wanted to have one for her home. She has already heard your audio of Gita in English. Delivery time could be before end of this month.

Thank you very much for being there for us always.

        Our sincere thanks and regards,

  12. Namaste.

This is for those who have been writing to me asking me about the post Sadé Sati period for Vrischikans. There is an important point that I would like to say on this matter:

    • The end of the Sadé Sati period does not necessarily mean that a person’s life would change UNLESS he or she has fulfilled the ‘Karmic purpose’ of their Sadé Sati, which includes balancing one’s own past Karma and charting out a new Karmic map for the future. In my post “Graduation Day for Vrischikans.” I had written, “Your period of honing and polishing is over, for now, as today is the last day of either your first, second or third Sadé Sati in this Janma of yours. From tomorrow onwards, you have neither any reason nor excuse to prevent yourself from marching ahead.”

I suggest reading the posts given below:

I hope none of you is under the impression, after almost 8 challenging as well as enlightening years of Sadé Sati, that it was planet Saturn that was the cause of all your troubles. In the event you do believe so, the whole purpose of this site with all the discussions and my posts is lost.

Change your mind and change your life. Dump all unwanted thoughts and work more on discovering yourSELF. Master the Art of Mastering your Mind by studying the Srimad Bhagavad Gita taking the help of the TVM Gita site and my EBook as well as Audiobook.

    Stay blessed.

    Jai Shri Krishna

    • Yep.

Almost immediately. But it did not matter. That’s the lesson learnt from all these years.

Keep a steady mind with both good and bad.

      Best wishes

        • You missed the whole point of this website AND sade sati. You dont have to do anything “explicitly” to “see” better results. You are looking at life in a linear way where its give and take with immediate results. You have to remove need of immediate gratification and follow 5 pearls.

Coming to your question if anyone else saw positive results:

Yes, I saw it, but not since 24th Jan, but from the beginning of SS. To be specific for post 24th Jan – I am at much more peace now, rest everything remains same. Being peaceful helps me compose myself for my actions. I can feel increased involvement in actions I was trying to take during SS. Also, I started working my butt off on things I want to do. Maybe SS made me obsessed with work and dreams.

          So piece of advice
          – focus on karma, be a karma yogi, work hard and move on.
          – Dont look for answers from anyone. Look for answers from your own self
          – There is no objective future out there that we will arrive at one day. There is only the future that we create.
          – Most importantly – think for 10x ideas of how your life will be better off, and work on it.
          – Leave everything else to “Him” and he will guide you.
          – Dont be afraid of life. Nothing unbearable shall ever happen.

    “Graduation Day” for Vrischikans

    Namaste Vrischikans.

People born who under the Vrischika Rashi (Scorpio), are known for their analytical mind and inherent qualities such as honesty, intelligence, courage, kindness, generosity, strong reasoning powers, a magnetic personality, leadership skills, high energy, speed and determination. However, just as even priceless pieces of jewellery need to be polished once in a while in order for their shine to be protected, people also need to undergo periods of honing and refinement – once in about three decades…

  15. Dear master and all the blessed people out there, I read the new astrological predictions with great curiosity because I do not understand much of the subject. I could figure out that I am not alone in facing dejection and crises in life. I read the replies from people and saw that they are clear in thinking. Ever since I got in touch with you and received your sermon I have not visited the shrink I used to see regularly. This is a huge development in my life in the last five years. I have been reading the way you motivate people and make them feel strong and so I thought of giving my good wishes to all the people waiting for the big change in your lives. I would also like to thank you master and all the nice people who shared with me their wisdom and supported me in my bouts of highs and sadness due to my disorder. I regularly meditate and listen to your soothing mantras. I pray for all of you and remain your brother from a different mother.

At last – the END of SADÉ SATI for Vrischikans

    Namaste dear Vrischikans,

If you happen to be one of those Vrischikans who first came to this site and visited it regularly in order to derive positive energy, moral support as well as spiritual help because you were going through your Sadé Sati, I must say that the time to say goodbye has arrived. However, as long as I can and my destiny permits me, I will surely continue to do my work of spreading positive energy blessed with the knowledge of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

At last – the END of SADÉ SATI for Vrischikans
On 24.01.2020, Saturn transits into the house of Capricorn for a period of almost three years and will move further from there at 18:00 hrs of the 17th of January 2023. In this post, we shall be looking at the general predictions for Vrischikans (people born under the Lunar sign of Scorpio) for the period between 24.01.2020 and 17.01.2023….

  17. New Book Release

    Tavamithram’s Vedantic Nectar Drops 01-06

A collection of some of my posts since the time I started this blog/site.

As a result of my fervent wish filled with sheer enthusiasm to spread the immeasurable bliss of acquiring Divine Knowledge of the Advaita Vedanta or nondualism through the study of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, which is known as the NECTAR of the Upanishads, I have been regularly publishing posts and other short articles on this site. Many people, who have begun to understand and appreciate Brahman, personified as Krishna, as the highest all pervading metaphysical concept that binds everything that exists in the universe(s), have had tremendous improvements in the quality of their life.

However, there are still people on this site, who, due to some sort of hardened cognitive dissonance issues, refuse to step out of their zone of ignorance and continue to think in terms of being ‘tested for faith by God’, or being ‘punished by cruel planets’. This book contains my posts which have been grouped in a particular manner that would enable people to take small steps and reach the level of realising their own divinity and fully comprehending that each individual is equally Divine and is powerful enough to write his or her own destiny. This knowledge makes them understand that the natural Cause and Effect principle known as Karma cannot be circumvented. No amount of crying, howling, taking up ‘astrological remedy measures’, wearing precious stones, living and dying at the feet of babas, communing with spirits, visiting mausoleums of bearded godmen, going barefoot to temples situated on mountaintops, and so on can delete past Karma. Logically speaking, it is only either through Karma balancing or through a complete change of nature through Sharanagati, that past Karma can be neutralised and as it is called in aeronautics, a positive RoC or positive Rate of Climb in the flight towards the ultimate destination be achieved.

Those who comprehend even the fundamental principles of the greatest rational philosophy of the Advaita Vedanta, are NEVER sad, upset, angry, haughty, jealous, bitter, scared, weak, sick, or ungrateful for their life and opportunities to learn and evolve.

The six parts of the book are as follows:

NECTAR DROP 01 The Divinity in YOU

NECTAR DROP 02 The Ultimate Truth

    NECTAR DROP 03 Spiritual Purity

NECTAR DROP 04 The Skill of Perception

    NECTAR DROP 05 Karma Management

NECTAR DROP 06 Gratitude and Fearlessness

I am thankful that my destiny has permitted me to interact with so many wonderful people from all around the world and share amongst us what we have learned in life.

May the shower of Divine Blessings continue forever.

Below is the transcript of Modiji’s talk in Hindi in the video taken in Japan in September 2014.

[Generally, when leaders of two countries meet with each other, they give each other gifts. You will be glad to know that I brought along with me the Bhagavad Gita to be given as a gift.

I am not sure about what would happen in India. There might be TV debates on this matter.
    (audience laughter)
Our ‘secular’ friends might create a storm saying, “What does Modi think of himself? he has taken the Gita along with him means he has communalised the matter. ” Well, they too need to earn their bread and butter. And how will that happen if I am not there (to be talked about)?
    (audience laughter)

Well, I don’t understand the kind of topics that they debate upon these days but it is my commitment and conviction, and I have taken the decision that whenever I meet some great person of the world, I will give it (The Bhagavad Gita) to them, even if here in Japan. Today when I went to meet the emperor (of Japan) I gifted him too a copy of the Bhagavad Gita. This is because I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING GREATER THAN THIS TO GIVE OTHERS….AND EVEN THE WORLD DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING GREATER THAN THIS (knowledge) TO BE ACQUIRED.
    (audience applause and cheering)]

May all be blessed with the Divine Knowledge imparted by Bhagavan Krishna in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

  21. Namaste.

One of my plans for today, 01.01.2020 (Central European Time), has been to publish an EBook of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita following the Audiobook that I published in September 2019.

After a lot of difficulties with formatting for Kindle and issues like that, I finally managed to upload the file. It should be available online in a couple of days. I shall announce the availability once I hear from Amazon. It is an ‘easy to read’ EBook which people may use along with the Audiobook.

I have noticed that many friends on our site have become very good at quoting relevant Shlokas from the SBG when they write to me. I find it truly encouraging and also satisfying.

I wish you all a wonderful new year 2020. May all of you receive abundant Blessings of Shri Bhagavan Krishna.

  24. As we are heading towards the end of the Vrischika Sade Sathi I believe that this would be a good time to post some of the things to look back upon, from the last 7 years.

No matter how well prepared you think you are (ego has a role here), when Sade Sathi comes, it comes with a bang. A strong jolt that turns your world upside down. Everything seems to go out of control. Your fundamentals are shaken. That which kept you going strong and steady can do absolutely nothing now. Then as you are wondering what just hit you, the waves begin their thing. Each pounding your ego relentlessly until you realize that the Ego you had built is not a giant rock but a giant sand castle sitting on edge of the bank. You throw everything at solving one problem and just when you think you made progress, you have another challenge that comes right behind it. It makes you realize how powerless and vulnerable you can truly be.

The sooner you tone down your arrogance and pride, the easier it gets. Humiliations, embarrassments, failures, rejections, conflicts, delays, losses, whatever it takes to bring down your ego. This is the reality. You have to truly see it before you can do anything about it.

You see 2 paths in front of you.

Refuse to budge and viciously defend your pride and ego. Fight it and it fights you back.

Halt completely and see things as they are. You are going on a wrong path and you have to change and start making big corrections.

    This teaches you acceptance.

You are completely battered at this point. All the coping mechanisms that you knew are no longer applicable. You see that absolutely anything can happen and your only option is to try everything. This is the truly frustrating phase. Your ego has tanked, your support system has failed, and you have to dig deep to find courage and motivation. Still you face plenty of failures. Even though you did everything right and played by the rules, things will not work out most of the times. You are on the verge of giving up.

You see 2 paths in front of you.

Take up addictions, alcohol intoxication, and other reckless things and become an escapist. This surely will make your situation worse as you stop paying attention towards setting things right. You had been trying to do everything right and yet the situation had barely improved. So how can you expect anything positive if you run away and succumb to bad habits?

See every new failure as a lesson. It is a valuable experience.

My system engineer once told me something that has stuck with me. I complained that, I did not want to do something because I was afraid of badly screwing up.

He said this to me, “Whenever you actually do a new task, there is a high likelihood that you can make mistakes. It is inevitable. That is how you learn sometimes. But when you refuse to do it because you are afraid of making mistakes, then you are better off not doing any work at all. Nothing useful can be expected out of you”.

Mistakes can lead to failures. All your righteous efforts may go in vain. It can be very demotivating and frustrating. But something useful does come out in the end.

This teaches you to surrender to the higher power.

Surrendering to the divine higher power is a beautiful emotional discovery. It is liberating. A sense of calm comes in your life after a long time as you experience this.
Next begins the phase of slowly rebuilding your confidence as you learn to keep your ego down. Ego cannot be completely removed. It has to be kept in check. You have to understand how to keep ego and confidence independent of each other. Your ego should not be a source of confidence.

As you carry on, you have 2 paths in front of you.

You can let loose everything and go back to your old ways, get overconfident and egoistic again as things begin to show improvements. This usually does not end well.

You have to believe that you will be safe no matter what the outcome of your situation in life is. You have to believe that you will be alright in the end and that you will be taken care of.

There is a saying in martial arts. “You only have a 50-50 chance of winning a fight even if you are fully confident of beating your opponent. But you have a 100% chance of losing it, if you go in thinking that you cannot win”.

What it means is that you have to be brave and confident in all situations. Be realistic as well as accepting of the outcome and be confident of dealing with it.

This teaches you to trust in the divine.

You have understood how to be confident, as you remain non-egoistic. Your confidence has to be sourced from your work and your trust in the divine. It is not to be sourced from your ego.
You are nearing the final stages of the Sade sathi. Things have massively improved. You have learned to cope with adverse situations without being shaken up. You have one more thing to focus on.

    Your karma and actions.

What are you doing with your newfound confidence? What is the quality of your actions?

You have 2 paths in front of you.

You continue as you are and do not put your lessons to good use. You remain mellow and meek. You ignore the gift given to you to perform good karma. When it is all over, you will most likely complain that nothing has changed or improved in your life.

You work on yourself. You work on getting better every day. You perform your actions better than you did yesterday. Your focus is on improving your skillset. Your attention is on excellence. You dedicate the gift of performing Karma to help others and do some good to the world.

This prepares you for the aftermath of the Sade Sathi.

When it is all over finally, things will not be the same as before. You may or may not have solved all of your problems.

You will definitely be more prepared than ever in your life to face any challenge without ego and without fear. You will have made new friends, lost a lot of old ones, created strong bonds and made powerful impressions. You will have found people that help you and guide you through your troubles. You will have reached a new height in your performance.

You will be responsible and wise. You will be in a position to guide a lot of people who need help. You will have lost your old reckless self. You will look back and be thankful for everything that you have had in life, everything that you have in life and everything that you will have in life.

A new you will step out to continue the wonderful journey of life.

There is an incident that happens at the end of the Kurukshetra war.

Bhagavan Krishna drives Krishna to an isolated location in the battlefield and directs Arjuna to alight from the Chariot. This is the only chariot in the entire war that was miraculously not destroyed. Almost every warrior lost his chariot at some point in the war.

Bhagavan Krishna then asks Arjuna to pray to Lord Hanumanji after which he appears before the both of them.

Bhagavan Krishna instructs Arjuna to thank Hanumanji for saving his chariot and deflecting all the terrible and powerful astras and missiles directed towards them. Arjuna bows in obeisance and shows his gratitude to Hanumanji.

Interestingly, Hanumanji apologizes to Bhagavan Krishna as he reveals to Arjuna that he deflected all the astras and misslies from all the warriors, except for the ones from Karna. And that the chariot was destroyed by Karna terrible astras.

Arjuna is surprised with these words from Hanumanji as he still sees his chariot intact.

Then, Bhagavan Krishna asks Hanumanji to remove the Hanumanji flag from atop the chariot.
As soon as Hanumanji removes the flag, the chariot explodes into a huge ball of flame and is blown to bits.

Bhagavan Krishna then reveals to Arjuna that Karna was indeed dreadfully powerful and that the chariot was destroyed by him. But because of Bhagavan Krishna’s yogamaya, the chariot was still being driven around.

Arjuna then realizes that the war was not won by him alone. Rather because of so many protective forces playing their roles behind the scene without his knowledge. He thanks both Bhagavan Krishna and Lord Hanumanji for protecting his life.

This is a great story to remind us of how futile our ego is. We have to be thankful to the divine for safeguarding us against a thousand unknown harms.

A lot of people have played a role in our lives to make it good. We must forever keep that in mind.

I sincerely thank our dear Tavamithram Sir for all his guidance.

And for opening my eyes to the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. I bow to Bhagavan Krishna for always being with me through all my life.

    • Dear DhruvaandBhagvanVishnu.,
You have penned down about Sadesati in such a Logical and Anaytical way of flowchart that being an engineer I compliment for the same . For one iteration of reading I thought this has been written by Sir , but then second reading I realised it is being written by you . I think you are closest to Tavamithram Sir in thought process …
I am circulating this to my friends ( with Tavamithram Link) .
Jai shri Krishna ! Krishnam Vande Jagadguru !

      • Namaste Kishor,

Thank you for your kind words.

I have put in there what Sir has been telling in this site and to everyone that has had the opportunity to speak with Sir. He is the most practical and realistic person I have spoken to in my life. I had the blessed fortune of speaking to Sir for the first time in 2017 when I was going through an emotional turmoil. After speaking to Sir, I read the Gita and everything changed. I understood the practicality and simplicity of Sir’s counsel better with every conversation and every read of the Gita.

I still have a long way to go.

I do not even have 1/1000th of the experience that Sir has. He lives the Gita. It becomes clearer with every talk we have with him. That calmness and clarity is possible only by facing and overcoming grave situations many times over in life.

A lot of great things have happened since taking a practical approach in life after reading the Gita. And I still have a couple of big challenges that I have been trying to tackle. Although I am concerned at the back of my mind, I remind myself that I have to be totally prepared, be realistic, be accepting of the outcomes and be brave enough to face what comes next. I am unsure of which way my life could take me, but I am sure of the challenges I will be facing on either paths. And I know that I have to remind myself constantly about the lessons that I have learnt and not forget them going forwards.

There are so many wonderful things to be grateful about that if we focus on just those, then the mind will have little time to drift away and worry about the uncertain.

        „Nothing unbearable shall ever happen“.

    • Dear @DhruvaAndBhagavanVishnu,

I’d like to thank you for the elaborate and clear explanation of all the thought process faced by people in SS. I read it thrice and went through each point. I agree with everything you have written.

My problems were mainly guilt driven which can be connected with ego. Fortunately I don’t get troubled by the old problems anymore. You said you have a couple of big challenges, are you still facing them, if I may ask?

I read your writings with great interest. You write very well.

      Best regards

      • Namaste Janardhana Kumar,

I believe that each one of us have our own version. Some people have it really really rough, while some others don’t.

It would be interesting to understand the learning journeys of others who endured Sade Sathi. It would be fascinating to see the variations and lessons, that people have seen in this spiritually awakening period.

I had the problem of guilt too. Many regrets for the actions that I took or did not have the courage to take.

The following helped me a lot –

Fear in anticipation of something unfavorable is one of the biggest causes of bad situations. It triggers a lot of stress, messes up our focus and basically ruins our day.

It is one thing to be prepared and accepting of the outcomes that are not in our control.

But it is foolishness to worry about them way before anything has actually happened. I am guilty of this mistake.

The solution is to stay in the present and be optimistic (not egoistic). Believe that good will happen and see how the day turns positive. Whether our “perceived good” or “perceived bad” eventually happens or not, is immaterial for our daily functioning.
Only time can answer that and time needs time. It doesn’t require us to spoil our present.

By the grace of Bhagavan Krishna, I have solved most of my problems and I am very happy and grateful now for everything.

A couple of challenges do remain and I am certain that I will find my path. I will not repeat the mistake of ruining my present for something that is yet to be seen.

        Whatever happens is a gift.

Prasada Buddhi, as Sir repeatedly says is the way to go.

The state of a trance or Samadhi is reached when the mind is controlled by the practice of Yoga in which, one’s individual consciousness is united with the Supreme Consciousness. In such a state, one is able to see the Self by the purified mind and relish in the Self. In this state, the person realises the same bliss, which can be experienced through the intellect.
When one is established in it, one does not deviate from the truth and is not disturbed even by any calamitous situation. In such a state, one is disconnected from pain and is untouched by it.
This Yoga should be practised with determination and with a mind that is not depressed or despondent.

  28. All children are priceless divine gifts.

Sooryagayathri is a great gift to lovers of music. Best wishes to her, her family and to her wonderful teachers.

    • Vanakkam dear Sir,

Thanks a lot for this superb song video. Very happy to hear this beautiful song of Bharathiyar. This girl’s pronounciation is very good even though her mother tongue is not Tamil.

      Good day to all.

      Humble regards,

      • You are right, Shanthi. Although her native language is Malayalam, Sooryagayathri’s Tamil pronunciation is much better than that of many young people from Madras. Have you noticed the way some announcers and newsreaders on Tamil TV channels pronounce Tamil words? For example, instead of saying “இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியை வழங்கியர்வர்கள்” they say “இந்த நிகல்ச்சியை வலங்கியர்வர்கல்” and instead of “மனைவி” they say “மணைவி!” Deplorable it is!

Luckily, you Srilankan people still maintain the purity of the language and have such a beautiful musical intonation and accent. I really like the way Tamil is spoken on Srilankan Tamil TV and radio. வாழ்க தமிழ்!

        • Dear sir vanakkam,

You are a language expert so you will stress on perfection in the language but so nice to know that you like how we speak Tamil! By the grace of god even though we live in London we have taught our children our mother tongue. Me and my husband are happy that even though our kids are growing up here and speak they speak our language also very well. You are our big inspiration sir how you teach your son so many languages. I think he will overtake you quite soon!

          Thanks a lot sir.

          Good day to all.

  29. Namaste.

When a person becomes a parent, their whole life including everything they do, needs to be centred around their child(ren). There can be nothing or no one more important than one’s own child(ren) and the lifelong Karmic project of raising them well. It is sheer stupidity to make assumptions about things and waste even a single day, let alone months and years, during the formative years of one’s child. If you want something that can help in the development of your child, GET IT. Haven’t I been writing about the importance of a ‘never say die’ and winning attitudes on my site? Those who speak Hindi should be aware of the ‘pehle aap’story.

Unless one gets over ego issues, which I believe, are a result of an underdeveloped or an untrained mind, self-improvement will be almost impossible. Children are greatly influenced by their parents’ behaviour and habits. It is natural for little ones to imitate their parents and elders. It is only when people practise good habits that they can expect their kids to learn them.

Communicating with one’s child(ren) every day and teaching them noble values by setting an example before them by being the person you want them to be, are extremely important. Raising a child, apart from self-improvement, is the greatest project that people who are blessed to be parents, can ever have in life.

I would like to quote from the introduction part of my audiobook ‘The Srimad Bhagavad Gita in English retold and read for you by Tavamithram Sarvada’ which is available on Amazon, Audible, etc.  I said, “Have you ever thought of the fact that all your countless ancestors were the ones who shaped who you are today? It is going to be the same case with your descendants too. They will be the outcome of your thoughts, words and deeds.”

After one’s own life, good health and sanity, it is one’s children that are the greatest Divine gifts. Children are PRICELESS. Ask wealthy people who are childless and they will tell you. In March 2014, I wrote a post called, “Children are never at fault”. Some parents complain that their children do not listen to them, are highly mischievous, or are not interested in school. I would ask those people :

    1. How dare you accuse children?!
    2. Isn’t it the responsibility of parents to give their children topmost priority rather than going out for late-night parties or quarrelling with their spouse?

Raising a child is a lifelong project that does not end with the stroke of midnight of their 18th birthday. It goes on forever.

I created this platform so that people could discuss sensible and intelligent issues and that we could all share what we know and have experienced. But many people prefer to communicate with me by email, Skype, Whatsapp, etc. Please remember that I have always stressed the importance of SHARING. Sharing knowledge is something that certainly sharpens and refines the knowledge of the one sharing it. Despite my requests to our friends to post their queries or concerns on the forum, people still prefer to write to me. Everyone knows that there is no problem of privacy on our site because people who do not wish to publish their name, can simply use initials like the way many of our friends do. There are two observations that I would like to make on people writing to me personal emails on matters which are not extremely serious such as life-threatening ones, rather than writing on the forum.

    a. The time, which is the most valuable gift that is continuously running out for everyone, that I spend to reply to one mail is gone and it has served merely the one person I wrote back to.
    b. Had the question been posted on the forum and had I replied to it out there, it would help many others who visit the site.

This post is, in fact, a reply to one of our friends which I started writing as a mail but finally decided to publish on the forum hoping that it would be of use to many others. It is someone who ‘did not want to ‘disturb’ me as he ‘assumed’ his matters could be trivial compared to those of others’. The result has been that he ended up missing two years during which, we could have regularly discussed topics such as parenting, general fitness, Sattvic food, peace at home, and so on.

People might want to take note of some facts about me. They are that my Karma has blessed me with an attitude of infinite gratitude, and I have a basic quality of not just being impressed but of being awestruck by everything about life and nature. I was actually almost gone a long time ago but my destiny gave me more time on the planet which I am extremely thankful for. I literally celebrate every moment of my ‘bonus’ life and live each one of the blessed moments to the fullest. Whatever work I do is always deeply rooted in Shlokas such as SBG 3:25, 5:25, 9:27, and 11:55. I expect nothing from anyone. The friendship I offer to people is unconditional and forever. My doors are always open to all.

    • Good morning Krishna.I agree completely. Sometimes you make me wonder if there could be anything in the SbG that you don’t follow. After I completed reading the Gita for the first time and I heard your audio of it a few times I can feel that I too am able to relate many things in life with some chapters in it. I hope I am forgiven for noticing that people like Ekart Tolle, Roal Dahl and some other writers on modern philosophy have quite often paraphrased what is written in the SBG and sold as their ideas.

In response to your post on the achievement gauge of scorpios I would like to give a strong yes. The life shattering challenges that suddenly cropped into my life helped me realize that in spite of all the professional success I have had I am just another dispensable person. I wish you and everyone across the continents a good life.

    • Dear master and all the sweet people I found on this small corner on the internet, I would like to reach out to you again but this time to tell you how rich my life has become and how I have been spreading joy and peace. There has hardly been a day when I did not open this site and read something in it. After finding the master last year, I knew I found someone I could draw my inspiration from and could emulate.
The closing sentences in what you said above seem to be the holy grail of peace and happiness. Please correct me if I am wrong. The more I turned neutral to everything that has been happening in my life the lesser I felt affected or hurt by them. Soon after I stopped expecting anything from my son or from my wife who left me, the pain that used to make my heart to look like a bullet-riddled piece of flesh subsided and soon went away. I would be grateful for more advice from you on this. Thank you, Master and friends Amal, Yogesh, Krishna Kumar, Kishor and others who lent me a hand when I was sinking in melancholy. I pray for your happiness.
      I remain your brother.

  31. An excerpt from today’s communication with one of our friends who is currently facing some challenges in his business.

The person said that the situation he was in is pretty serious and asked if he would be forced to declare insolvency.

    My reply:

Jai Shri Krishna. What advice would you like to hear from me? We have spoken about insolvency already that sometimes it is a blessing in disguise and a kind of mercy for mistakes done by a person.

Even Bhagavan Krishna did not tell Arjuna ‘what to do’ but taught him the secret of Yoga and asked him to do what he felt was right – SBG 18:63

All of us are directly responsible for our actions. There is no action which does not have a reaction. Therefore, using the knowledge from the SBG, applying common sense, following Dharma as well as the law of the land, and being fearless at all times, are what one can do.

The troubles that you are undergoing are because of your own actions which you took on your own so you also have to balance them on your own. Attaching conditions to the blessings one seeks amounts to ahankaar. Whereas TOTAL SHARANAGATI means being prepared to face, whatever happens, learn from it and evolve.

Going to temples and breaking coconuts there, and offering money to the temple hundis are acts of ahankaar. That is also a kind of corruption. (I wrote a post on this some time ago) https://tavamithramsarvada.wordpress.com/2019/02/02/corruption-in-spirituality/

Every day is different, educative and blissful. It depends on how we perceive every extra day we are blessed to live on the planet.

Being alive, conscious and healthy are the greatest blessings one can receive and as long as one has these three blessings, all other issues are trivial and inconsequential.

Whatever be the trouble you might be in, there are three main principles of action or Karma to remember.
    1. You were and not are the doer
    2. The Gunas in you cause action
    3. All actions have equal and opposite reactions.

Taking a vow that you would torture yourself by piercing your body with sharp objects as a form of a penance come under demoniacal behaviour which Bhagavan Krishna has said about in Shloka SBG 16:18-19.

Some people vow to break a large number of coconuts at a temple if they succeeded in solving their problem. How insane can one be! If you want to solve your problems, use your knowledge, intelligence, contacts and general smartness. Someone told me he was going to visit the mausoleum of some man from a bizarre foreign cult, who died a hundred years ago, to seek his blessings. I understand if people belonging to organised religions believe in such ridiculous theories but how and why should people of the Sanatana Dharma, which is the oldest and the only rational philosophy in the world become victims of such senseless ideas? What else but the lack of proper understanding of the fundamentals of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita can it be?

Let is go through some of the prime steps in crisis management:
    1. Study the situation
    2. Remove fear and attachment towards the outcome of whatever action you are going to decide upon
    3. Remove even the slightest traces of selfishness but ensure that whatever you are going to do would benefit others
    4. Read the translation of the Srimab Bhagavad Gita or listen to my Audiobook
    5. Make sure that you don’t blame others but you take up the entire responsibility for the situation you are in
    6. Be sure that there is no element of wrath or revenge in your attitude
    7. Be open to the Divine teachings and advice that you might receive in any form such as a slogan of some ad you might see on a banner, a popup while browsing, a random thought from someone you know, or even a piece of dialogue from a film that you watch
    8. Know that the SELF in you is KRISHNA and that it is your ignorance due to your clouded mind that is preventing you from realising the great truth SBG 13:03
    9. This life in which you feel you are facing challenges is sure to end one day, so why worry?
    10. Nothing Unbearable Shall Ever Happen. Whatever happens, the world will go on.

    • Jai Shri Krishna to Sir and to all,

I have gone through the above twice by reading the points and watching the videos. IMO it contains all the vital teachings which we require to face any kind of problems.

In my neighbourhood I have started to teach the Gita to some ladies and children who are interested to study it. After hearing the audiobook I have got a much better understanding and knowing as in where to find which topic in the Gita book. Everyday I have to prepare for taking Gita classes so I study well the shloks for the day so this makes me to improve my knowledge everyday. It should be nice if we can have Gita classes conducted by you.

We entered the 3rd chapter yesterday. So we listen to the audio first and then I ask children to read from the site (TVMGita). You should see how the little ones listen to the audio with so much concentration like they have when they are watching some movie!

My family members, neighbours and I would like to express our gratitude to you for the great help you are doing for people. Only when we read and understand the Gita we start to understand what kind of wrong ideas we used to have earlier. Sincere thanks again for removing doubts from our mind and teaching us the correct way to live.

I would like to request you to give a detailed explanation of the 8th chapter Akshar brahm Yog. Please take your time and do it when can spare some time for my request.

Sincere thanks and regards to you,

      • Hello Chandrika,

I appreciate your focus and dedication. Sharing your knowledge of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita with others, particularly with children, is a wonderful thing to do.
Bhagavan Shri Krishna said in verse 18:68 of the SBG “The one who teaches this Supreme Philosophy to My devotees, has the greatest form of love for Me and offers to Me the highest form of service. Such a person shall undoubtedly come to Me.”

It pleases me to know that my audiobook is useful to you and your friends. I started to teach my son the Bhagavad Gita ever since he was about four or five and now at 15, he can easily quote verses from the SBG relating to different situations in life and apply his Vedantic knowledge in the way he lives and performs his duties such as those of a son, a student, a friend, a citizen and so on.

Please be specific and let me know what exactly you would like me to explain in the eighth chapter. It is quite a short one with only 28 verses.

        Stay blessed.

        Jai Shri Krishna

        • Jai Shri Krishna Sir,

Wow! Honestly I feel very happy to know about how you are raising your son and that too when you all are living in Europe! Here people who have not even gone to Palam airport act as if they are foreigners!

Thanks for your teaching and encouragement due to which I am able to spread what I learnt from you. Two of the children who come to my Gita sessions are very talented. They are learning very fast. If you don’t mind I would like to request you for a full audio of the Gita in Sanskrit. I searched in your youtube channel and found only one video with selected verses. I am already using it in my Gita sessions.

It is nice of you for taking time to reply to me and help me. Basically my question is about Adhyatma, adhibutha and Adhiyagna. Then also about Brahma’s day and night. These are a bit difficult to follow. If you could throw some light it would help because I should not be blinking when someone asks me.

          I eagerly await your reply.

          Sincere thanks and regards,

          • Hello Kishor,

            please remember the following:

            1. Nothing and no one belonged to you nor will ever belong to you, and therefore, neither have you lost nor will you ever lose anything.
            2. Every experience is a source of knowledge and wisdom.
            3. THE PRESENT IS A PRESENT. Let alone the future, the present is the greatest present you have. Each and every moment is a special priceless gift which cannot be compared with any other form of wealth.
            4. Understand Shloka SBG 18:66 thoroughly well. What does total Sharanagati before Bhagavan Krishna mean? It simply means learning to be a ‘Sthithapragnya’ or a Yogi with steady consciousness and give up all attachment to the results of one’s work. The present is the result one’s Karma from the past, and the future, if at all such a thing exists, will be the result of one’s Karma in the present. No amount of money sent to temple ‘hundis’ or any other stringent wows taken by a person can clear them of their past Karma. The only way, apart from the strenuous process of balancing one’s past Karma by undergoing its results in the present, is total Sharanagati as per SBG 18:66 and creating a PARADIGM SHIFT in one’s thinking and nature, and changing everything about themself that could have the negative Karma in the first place. Remember, ‘If I continue to do what I have always done, I will continue to get what I have always got.’ By reforming oneself completely, one can perform the ‘CTRL ALT DEL’ operation of all their negative Karma and advance in their journey of Karmic evolution with a squeaky clean slate. I would like to know if someone has a better interpretation of Shloka SBG 18:66. Those who find my interpretation silly, ridiculous or not convincing enough, are certainly free to do so and learn it someday or in some Janma in the future simply through experience.

            5. FEAR. Once you are clear about points number 1 and 2 given above, the feeling of fear will simply vanish from your heart. You will understand that you have nothing to fear because you never owned anything or anyone, and also that whatever you are afraid of can actually be a great learning experience for you.

In short, face every experience with a smile that your destiny throws before you, go through them as sincere students would go through lessons in school, and emerge as a shining piece of ornament of incalculable value which is what you are but is a fact that you are unaware of due to the delusion caused by your Gunas.

            Stay blessed.

            Jai Shri Krishna

          • Hello Chandrika,

Bhagavan Krishna states the following in Shloka 3 and 4 of the eighth chapter:

Akshara: The Supreme truth, Brahman, That without which nothing can exist, The God Principle

Adyaatma: The Jiva in all beings. It is the Self which is the transmigrating power or energy of the Supreme Brahman that exists in all beings and causes beings to ‘live.’ The Self or Jiva is Krishna Himself.
SBG 10:20 I am the Self, O Gudakesha (Arjuna), situated within all living entities. I am the origin, the middle and also the end of all beings.
SBG 13:02 You should know that the Kshetrajna or the embodied Self in all bodies or Kshetras is Me, O Arjuna. Knowing about the Kshetra and the Kshetrajnas is called knowledge.

Adhibuta: The material aspect. This consists of the five elements namely fire, earth, air, water and space (ether). All physical materials are made up of the basic elements

Adhidaiva: Known as the Purusha or the Cosmic Soul ìs the basis of all Divine Manifestations, which you might call Devas or deities.

Adhiyagnya: Bhagavan Krishna says that He is the Object of worship that people perform with their body and mind.
Shloka 9:24 (Krishna says) I am the enjoyer and the Bhagavan of all Sacrifices, but those who do not know Me in reality, fall into the world of mortals and revolve in the cycle of birth and death.

Karma: It is the cause and effect phenomenon. Karma is caused and created by the Gunas.
SBG 3:27 All actions are done by the three Gunas or the qualities of nature. But he whose mind is deluded by false ego and arrogance, thinks “I am the doer”.

Brahma’s day and night: As per Vedic cosmology, the universe is infinite, however, it undergoes cyclic processes of creation and destruction. There is no such concept as the six-day creation in which God created the earth, the sun, the moon, the mountains as (invisible) pillars to support the sky; or the day of judgement. Although there is no particular moment of time when everything began, Vedic cosmology divides time into four Yugas or epochs, namely, the Satya Yuga, the Treta Yuga, the Dvapara yoga and the Kali Yuga. A Maha Yuga is a cycle of the four Yugas. It lasts 4.32 million solar years. A Kalpa Yuga is a period of a thousand Yugas. This has been mentioned in verse 8:17 in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.
Srimad Bhagavad Gita 8:17 By human calculation, one day of Brahma is equal to a thousand cycles (Maha Yuga) of four Yugas each, and the night is also of the same duration. The wise who know this truth know the truth about day and night.

You should be able to infer from the above explanation that Vedic cosmology is quite similar to the observations made by scientists after the immense research they have been doing since centuries rather than to the fairytales and bedtime stories taught in the books of organised religions.

The complete Bhagavad Gita: Along with a series of ebooks, I am working on creating another audiobook of my recitation of the entire Bhagavad Gita in Sanskrit and will announce once it is ready.

I wish you Divine Blessings in your noble endeavour to enlighten others, particularly children, about the Supreme Knowledge of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

            Stay blessed.

            Jai Shri Krishna

            • Jai Shri Krishna Sir,

    • Dear Sir and all Jai shri krishna !

Wishing all here a very happy Gita Jayanti Day today !

Very good explaination for querry .. We all go this situation may it be Finance , Relation , or anything else . One has to go through any of Adhyatmik , Adhidaivik or Adhibhautik karma . There is no escape . But praying to Krishna we can smoothen the pain part and Krishna promises to take care if we surrender to him . My experience is while approaching the problem there is definitely a sense of fear , this is because mind keeps on continuously prodding in future but if we keep our mind steady and focused on prayers to Lord then the event passes . Once this is crossed we definitely feel that it could have crossed even without element of fear in our mind and we unnecessarily stressed the mind . If we would not have stressed then may be we could have handled the situation in better manner . Once this event is crossed we feel that this has added to our experience if we take positively . As Sir says the greatest gift if staying alive , sound body and mind . I check if this is intact after crossing the event then we are better than many souls even afte Loosing money , fame after this event . But yes we need to practice this continuously !
      Jai shri Krishna

  35. Humble salutations to Shri Tavamithram garu.

My sister in law was diagnosed with cervical cancer 1 year ago. She has undergone treatment which included surgeries. I came across your divine chanting of the Dhanwanthri manthra on youtube and gave it to her. Everyday she has been listening and chanting Dhanwantri sincerely and the Manthra from Narayaneyam. By the grace of the lord Dhanwanthri she has been declared cancer free. We are told that it is only divine miracle which has saved the life of the young lady of my family.

I saw many patients at Chennai Adayar cancer institute who know your name due to your chantings on youtube which they are using everyday. All our family members offer you our infinite gratitude for your blessings and we pray to lord Dhanwanthri to give you and your family the best of health.

    • Namaste Anitha Reddy,

Thank you for sharing the good news about your sister-in-law’s recovery. I would say that it is the strong faith you have that cured her.

A lot of people who chanced upon my videos of the Dhanvantari Mantra and of the Dashakam 8/13 from the Narayaneeyam have written to me saying that the two Mantras worked wonders in their lives and in those of their loved ones.

Humans usually take to total Sharanagati only when they feel they are left with no other options and that is exactly when they experience the real power of completely surrendering before the Supreme Bhagavan Krishna.
Bhagavan Krishna said in Shloka SBG 18:66Giving up all your ideas of righteousness or religion, take complete refuge in Me. I will liberate you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.

The Dhanvantari and the Dashakam 8/13 videos are, in fact, those that were done in quite a hurry when the mother of one of our friends, Mr Sundar, was about to undergo a surgery. It moves me deeply to know that the video is helping thousands of people who are suffering from ailments. I pray to the Supreme Bhagavan to bless everyone with excellent health, peace and prosperity.

Please give my good wishes to your sister-in-law and may you and all of you in your family stay blessed.

In the year 2005, Indian billionaire, steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal was ranked the third richest person in the world after Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.

Rendezvous with Simi Garewal – Lakshmi Mittal

Simi Garewal: Why do you still hold an Indian passport?

Lakshmi Mittal: I love my country…and I am Indian.

Simi Garewal: Would your business have been easier if you had a European passport?

Lakshmi Mittal: I don’t think so. Now the world is global and it does not make any difference whether you have an Indian passport, British passport or an American passport.

Simi Garewal: Is it some kind of umbilical cord you have with India…this passport?

Lakshmi Mittal: I feel very happy and proud to have this passport. My allegiance is to India.

    • Krishna, thank you for this video. It gives a good insight into Mr Mittal’s life. His calm attitude is very impressive. My father moved to the US more than four decades ago so all of have US passports.

      • Dear Dr. SS,

My naturalization is expected to happen in 2021. For small people like me having a US passport is very advantageous because of the freedom to travel. Tavamithram sir has told me his reasons for not changing his nationality but I think I will go for it and take the OCI card.

  38. A weak or confused god concept and a lack of understanding of the SELF are two of the important causes of mental turmoil, fear, anger, jealousy, hatred, etc.

Even ordinary efforts that a person takes in order to understand the basics of Advaita Vedanta can greatly help them in clearing their mind that is befuddled with unwanted thoughts and ideas, and also in their process of mental, spiritual and Karmic evolution.

Despite being the ONLY LOGICAL, SENSIBLE AND RATIONAL PHILOSOPHY in the world, the Sanatana Dharma and its followers have earned the reputation of being regressive! Whereas, cults that teach that some being called god created the earth and all its flora and fauna in six days and took rest on the seventh day, are considered to be progressive and cool!

The main blame for such a situation may be hurled against religious babas and gurus as well as followers of the Sanatana Dharma who have been either illiterate or plain lazy to read ancient Dharmic scriptures. Take the story of creation – Abrahamic religions say that god created it but the way Rig Veda talks about it strongly resembles the Big Bang Theory and they call the Sanatana Dharma old fashioned and uncool!

As per Advaita Vedanta, there is nothing like creation, the first man and woman, satan, hell, heaven etc. You may want to take a look at the Nasadiya Sukta https://tavamithramsarvada.wordpress.com/2018/12/31/nasadiya-sukta-the-hymn-of-creation/

Wake up Dharmic people and please educate yourselves about the Advaita Vedanta and our great Sanatana Dharma. Be proud of the fact that our ancestors did not convert to bizarre foreign cults either due to greed or because of fear.

Being a true and modest seeker is the prime quality to be possessed in order to be a Sanatana Dharmi (Hindu) and be called one.

  39. Dear friend Krishna,

Finally, Savithri managed to get all of us together at home on Sunday and we listened to your Gita audio book on Audible. My first reaction is that through you I see Lord Krishna entering our home and helping us resolve matters that earlier seemed impossible to solve. On Savithri’s insistence, I have been through the Gita on your site but listening to it read by you in your enrapturing voice made us get a totally different and deep insight into the Gita. I am going to hear it many more times when I drive to work. Keep up the brilliant work my friend. The wonderful help that you have been offering to strangers like us from around the world must be getting you a lot of good karma.

I have recommended your audio book to almost everyone in my social groups.

We will never cease to be thankful for all your help and to admire you for your infectious positive attitude towards everything in life.

May God Bless you and your family.

    Best regards,

  40. A short wonderful video containing some golden words of Warren Buffet.

It is so important to hang around with positive-minded people. When you watch this video, you will see why I don’t allow on this site messages in which people sob, wail and complain about life.

Learn to live in the NOW, be thankful for all the people and whatever you have in life, and remember to share with others what you think you have been blessed with.

I suggest that you watch this video at least twice in order to clearly receive the message from Warren Buffet.

The Dhanteras day, also known as Dhana Trayodashi or Dhanvantari Trayodashi, is observed to be the day when Shri Vishnu incarnated as Shri Dhanvantari who is considered to be the Father of Ayurveda. The day is the thirteenth (Trayodashi) day of the Krishna Paksha or dark fortnight of the month of Karthika. The Dhanteras day is revered as the day of the Samudra Manthan or the churning of the ocean, when Shri Dhanvantari incarnated and Sri Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth, appeared out of the ocean that was being churned by the Devas and the Asuras.

Shri Dhanvantari is invoked as the greatest protector and healer. The Dhanvantari Mantra is in praise of Shri Dhanvantari whom devotees humbly pray to for good health.

Since health is the greatest wealth, I wish you all excellent health followed by an abundance of material wealth.

  43. Dear Doctorji,

This is nothing. Having known Krishna sir (Tavamithram Sir) for two years and being associated with him closely I am aware that sometimes his words can be very sharp with no mincing but the fact of the matter is that in the end we will realize whatever he says is good for us. I had the honor of personally meeting him and having lunch with him in Germany exactly two years ago. My parents and friends told me immediately when I returned to the US after meeting with sir the major changes they observed in me were my increased patience and confidence.

Coming from a traditional south Indian family, my parents are pretty orthodox Hindus. Prior to my meeting sir I used to follow our traditions at home just to keep my parents happy. Then after I started to read regularly on this website, I started to gain better understanding of spiritual matters. At least once in a week I talk to sir at least for 5-10 minutes. It did not take me much time to remove lethargy and negativity from my life.

    Hope you are all fine.

(I put this comment already in the audiobook section)
As we had an emergency in Patna we had to go there for a few days. We returned yesterday morning and then in the night we heard the full Gita. It went upto 2AM! My mother in law, husband and me heard it together on our new Philips sound system. We had a short break of 10 minutes after chapter 12.

I really don’t know how to describe the superb experience we all had! Sir’s voice and superb pronunciation are simply great! After completing all the chapters we had the feeling as though we came out from a great movie! The way sir has spoken is like as though we are seeing a film!

When we started I told my husband and mil about the main point which sir said. He said to have the main aim of completing all the 18 chapters even if we do not follow in some places because sir said in the end when we will have the feeling of having completed the Gita that itself will be a superb feeling and make us go deeper into it. My mil who is a regular pilgrim to Vaishno devi temple since many years was speechless after listening to the whole Gita. At her age even she heard the full Gita for the first time in her life.

I was very emotional in some places like in chapters 9,10 and 11 and also in 18. In the 11th when Arjun asks Lord Krishna to forgive him like a father, friend or lover my tears came like waterfalls! The ending of the whole Gita is just too too good!

Definitely we will follow another thing sir said which is to hear it minimum five times.

Simmilar to what sanjay said in the end of the Gita, I too would like to say that I am experiencing the pleasure of the listening to our beloved Tavamithram sir’s fantastic creation again and again!

With deepest gratitude to sir and warm affection to all,

    Ma, Ram and Vedhika

    • Dear Sir,

For those who are trying to purchase the audiobook from Amazon Audible, I would suggest the following steps:

Login into amazon.com (and not amazon.in)
      Purchase the book
Install Amazon audible app from App Store
When you login into audible from India, by default it goes to audible.in market place and if you click on My Library in audible app, you will not find the book although you have successfully purchased the same.
Instead, choose audible.com US market place. Now when you go to My Library, you will find the audiobook that you have purchased recently.

These are broadly the steps that I followed as initially I too faced the same problem that I cited above. In fact, I had to uninstall the app and reinstall the same and then log back in to audible.com US market place.

      Hope you find them useful.

      Jai Shri Krishna!

  56. Happy Birthday to our beloved Karmayogi Prime Minister Shri Narendra Damodardas Modiji.

One of the names that Shri Bhagavan Krishna used to address Arjuna was Parantapa which means the destroyer of enemies. Shri Modiji, the modern Parantapa, is truly a destroyer of the enemies of Bharat and the honour of our motherland.

  58. NEW POST

    The Chequered Flag for Vrischikans

It is almost time for Vrischikans (people with the lunar sign of Scorpio) to say ‘PHEW! What a ride!’ That is because the life-changing period of Sadé Sati, which began on the 14th of November 2011, is due to end a couple of hours after the 24th sunrise of January 2020. Although the period is known as Sadé Sati or ‘seven and a half’, it has already been, as of today, seven years and ten months since that ‘fateful’ day that ushered in a tumultuous, challenging and metamorphic stint in the lives of Vrischikans. 59. Hi all,

I have completed listening to all the chapters! It has been a marvelous, magnificent and phenomenal experience! The master’s captivating narration in his enchanting voice took me into a deep meditative trance. When I heard the foreword and introduction itself I knew I was in for something major in my life. Then it was like understanding everything step by step. Wow! After completing I needed 15 minutes to come back to my normal state. I am feeling like I had another birth…it is not easy to describe. My mind is clearer so I have no more worries about makar rashi sadesathi and all that. I wish I had got this chance much before in my life…..things would have been much different.

One thing is definite that I will hear it minimum 10 times in one month. I never expected my life will undergo such a tremendous change in the last one year and now after today.

Sincere thanks and regards to the master and to all,

    Chandrika Mano

The Prime minister, the leader, the nation’s father, the friend, the guide and the lamp of that leads my countrymen (including the brainwashed ones) Thank you Modiji 🙏

Some people have been trained and brainwashed to hate our great leader. That’s alright because they too will learn some day. What else can people with flimsy philosophies and principles do? If the aim of Modiji to unite all Indians as one family were to succeed, how would they, the soul traders, be able to run their thriving multi-billion dollar businesses??

A true Karmayogi is one who does his job relentlessly without any attachments to the results of his work.

Never mind my Indian brothers and sisters. Our time will come. Getting 2.1 km close to the surface of the moon, at one-tenth, the amount of money spent by the USA, was certainly no child’s play!

    Thank you, Indian scientists.
