  2. Namaste,
This is a humble attempt to write down and describe an incident that happened a little more than a year back. This was the beginning of a positive tide in my Sade Sathi as a Vrischikan.

The challenges are still present, but my perception has changed.
And since then, they are not challenges anymore.

I was near a breaking point. I had almost given up. The hopelessness and desperation at that moment was the culmination of a 10 year downhill journey in life.
I had not lost faith in the divine being who had protected me all this while and with limited and inadequate spiritual knowledge, I had held on and kept going.
But this time, something was different. I could take it no more. I curled up in my bed, closed my eyes and wished that it would all end.
I had totally broken apart. The beat down I had received time after time for more a decade made me completely let go of everything, because in that psychological situation, I had nothing to hold on at that point.
It was not a negative surrender. I had still not lost any faith in the divine being. It was a liberating kind of surrender.
    And then it happened.
It seemed that all my prayers I had made for some kind of a deeper spiritual understanding, since the time I was old enough to grasp the four aspects of life i.e Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha, were answered.
It was a very brief experience that felt out of this world. I have never felt it again since that day. But what my mind and body experienced then, changed me forever.
It is difficult to put it in words or to describe it. It was right after the moment I had completely surrendered and accepted everything without fighting.
I seemed to raise above my body and saw someone curled up in bed. And then I saw it.
    I saw EGO.
It is real and no, EGO is not pride exactly, although pride arises out of EGO.
I have heard about EGO and the challenges to overcoming that, all my childhood from the stories of Srimad Bhaagavatha, the numerous tales of Bhakthi, from the tales around Bhagavan Krishna, around Sri Vitthala of Pandharapura who was pursued by the saints of Maharashtra and Karnataka, and from the countless sages and pious devotes that lived and shown the path to the generations before us.
Hearing and reading about EGO is one thing, getting an experience of EGO is something out of this world.
No matter how much I try, I cannot fully describe what I felt and saw.
In that brief time, I lost the feeling of any kind of association with my identity. ‘I’, ‘me’, ‘myself’, ‘mine’ all seemed to have separated from me. I was not who I thought I was. I saw a human body curled up in the bed. It was just another thing among the millions of things on mother earth and the universe.
I do not recall being emotional at this point. However, the intellect was running wild trying to come to a calculated conclusion from all this that I was experiencing.
One of the first conclusions was that the body did not belong to me.
That body did not belong to me. That body does not belong to me. That body is not mine. I am not that body.
Nothing in this universe belonged to me, let alone that frail, fragile body. The only emotion I felt for a very brief time then was a mixture of shame and surprise. A moment later, even that shame I had experienced and associated to me, disappeared.
All the identities that were attached to that body were not mine at that moment. Absolutely nothing related to the being I saw, felt like mine.
The intellect worked harder to find out what I had become.
Alas, how can one put a tag and a description on something that cannot be related with absolutely anything in one’s memory?
Nothing, I mean absolutely nothing in this world could be said belonged to me at that time. I do not know who I felt I was at that moment, but I could see everything about my existence, being dissected and laid out. And I was not part of it. I was apart from it, where I saw.
I saw EGO ripped out and it was not me at that moment. It is indeed difficult to explain.
I had this surge of energy in me and I immediately got up. I could not believe what I had just gone through. I ran straight to the Pandharapura Vitthala’s photo frame and stood there looking at him.
I was baffled. All the pain, sorrow and desperation had somehow disappeared.
I believe I had to realize that EGO really exists and what it actually feels like, for it to happen.
I had just witnessed a whole new dimension of perception that I still am not able to explain. It is something to be experienced. It was then that I mustered up courage and decided to write to Tavamithram Sir for the first time ever, and I did. I had reached a strange place and I didn’t know in which direction to go. Something in my head told me to do it.
And his guidance and instructions to read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita was a message from Vitthala himself. Reading the Gita was the need of the hour and I would never have done it without his instructions. The first change one will certainly see after reading the Gita for the first time is the disappearance of fear and confusion. I was not lost anymore. And I had found a clear pathway to continue in my karmic journey.
Have I lost my EGO now and have I become a Gyani? No. But I have come to understand things better with each passing day, and EGO is something that keeps coming up in different forms. I will write about my learnings about it soon. There is still a long way to go, lots of corrections to make and plenty to learn. But that experience was a pivotal point in my life and without Sir’s guidance and without the Gita, things could have just been the same old or maybe more confusing today.
No matter what, keep your faith in Bhagavan Krishna, don’t be too hard on yourself for the mistakes you make. Learn from them and focus on living a little bit better each day.
Be kind to all beings. You, are in them and they are in you.
    Bhagavan Krishna is in you.

  7. Most people who have been through this site must have gathered by now that this is no place for negativity, pessimism, self-pity, etc. but a place where people can pull themselves together, stand up, march ahead and successfully face whatever challenge they might have before them.

One of the greatest secrets of success lies in drawing inspirations from people who have already crossed the path that lies before us and learning from them how to handle tough challenges even without being in the situations that they were in.

The Discussion forum will be reopened on 06.01.2019.

The Vedic Lunar Calendar describes the day as follows:
06.01.2019: Krishna Paksha/ Lunar month of Kartika/ New moon day (Amavasya)/ VRISCHIKA Rashi/ Anusham Star (Nakshatra)

Vrischika Rashians might want to take the lead and start sharing as well as discussing the knowledge they have gained in the last six to seven years. This will be the last year of this Sadé Sati period for Vrischikans. After crossing gruelling situations in the last few years, they will soon be on the home stretch and clear the ‘chequered flag’. The long awaited ‘PHEW’ moment for most Vrischikans is fast approaching. (I said ‘most Vrischikans’ because a lot depends on the course corrections they made during the last few years)

Dear awesome Vrischikans, be proud of yourselves and share with others what life has taught you. Spread love, joy, warmth and positive energy. Do not hold yourself back from celebrating your successful completion of seven years of the major Karma balancing period of your lives.

May you all stay abundantly blessed.

Those who haven’t read The Srimad Bhagavad Gita yet might want to consider using this site http://bit.ly/tvmgita to quickly go through the simple translations of all the 700 Shlokas.

It normally takes three to four hours to complete reading all the chapters. Regardless of whether you understand the teachings of Krishna or not, the moment you complete reading the Srimad Bhagavad Gita once, you will feel drawn to read it again and again.

Reading the Srimad Bhagavad Gita regularly helps the seeker learn to interpret the Divine teachings of Krishna and apply the knowledge in real life situations thus making life more enjoyable, fulfilling, successful and peaceful. The knowledge gained by reading Krishna’s Supreme Gift to mankind, can help people face even the most challenging of situations with a smile, sheer courage and utter confidence. It is a book that can straightaway calm even the most disturbed mind and teach the reader practical methods to harness it and make utmost use of its immense potential.

There isn’t any problem that cannot be solved by a composed, well trained and stable mind. However, a mind which is not under control, can turn out to be one’s worst enemy.

SBG 6:06 The mind is the greatest friend of the one who has conquered it; but of the one who hasn’t, the mind is the greatest enemy.

As I have said earlier, if you are Sanatana Dharmic, you need to be thankful to yourself for the good Karma you have collected or else you could have been born into a family following some weird cult or organised religion but claimed that it was ‘revealed’ by God through messengers.

The Sanatana Dharma is the perfect way of life for seekers. There are no commandments, rules, conditions or any particular book, person or God that people are expected to follow. Being a true seeker automatically leads one towards Self-Realisation which is the way to get out of the cycle of Samsaara and become one with the Supreme Brahman.

In continuation of my endeavours to help people study important Dharmic scriptures, I will soon be publishing a post including a video on a set of Shlokas from the Rig Veda.

As I said in my last post Thank yourself if you are a Sanatana Dharmi (Hindu) it is only your good past Karma that has brought you into Dharmic families. Even if you were born into families practising organised religions but you find yourself drawn towards the Sanatana Dharma, you can be sure that it is your own positive past Karma that is causing it. Refer Shlokas 6:41-44 of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

According to the Srimad Bhagavad Gita not only all humans but also all beings are to be treated equally.

    SBG 5:18
People who are wise treat equally, a Brahmin endowed with learning and humility, a cow, an elephant, and even a person who cooks and eats dog meat.

Bhagavan Krishna said to Arjuna that no one is either repulsive or dear to Him. However, He also said that there are some who are dear to Him and also those who are extremely dear to Him. But how can that be possible that on one hand He says that all are equal but on the other, He says that some are extremely dear to Him?

Click here to know how one can become dear to Bhagavan Krishna. The steps are clearly given in the 12th Chapter, namely the BhaktYoga of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita

May everyone receive the Grace of the Supreme Bhagavan Krishna and be blessed with well being, happiness, peace and prosperity.

As this year draws to a close, I want to be amongst the first to wish you a New Year that is eternally blessed by Bhagavan Krishna. And we hope that you will continue to guide us through. 2019 will perhaps be a momentous year for all Vrishchika Rashians. This will be the last year under the strict watch of Shani. In many ways I feel that, since the “fateful day” when I felt like being hit by a truck, I have had one of the most humbling, satisfying and interesting periods of my life. Of course not before going through some darkest patches. The fact that now I have you in my life, the fact that I acted on my instinct to give back to the world, the fact that the universe pushed me back to my own career path from which I had taken a detour leads me to believe that it all happened for the best. I am at peace and am on a different level of self realization. I have begun to love life.

Please convey my best regards to all members of our Group, in your own way. And wishing Vishal a musically fulfilling New Year ahead!

    Namaste.

As promised, I give you the translation of the story contributed by our friend Kishor.

In fact, I first came across this story many years ago, when I was a young school boy in Poona. I heard this story in Marathi, which is one of the most beautiful and musical languages of India, that I so dearly love straight from the bottom of my heart. Marathi and Maharashtra have a direct connection to the child part of my heart. Thank you @Kishor for sharing this wonderful story that kindled my childhood memories and reminded me of my Marathi teacher.

“God or human? (This is either a strange title or maybe my Marathi is bad and that I have not translated it correctly!

A long time ago, an old man died leaving behind three children.

The old man had prepared a will before his death. What he had written in his will was as follows:
“The number of bulls that I have must be divided according to the respective abilities and needs of my sons. A half of the number of bulls should be given to my eldest son. A third of the total number of bulls must be given to my second son and my third son, should get a ninth of all the bulls I possess. Let the one who does the job of dividing and distributing the respective shares to my sons, take whatever is left.

The challenge was the fact that the number of bulls was 17, which was not easy to divide into a half, a third and a ninth without actually chopping one of the bulls?!

In order to resolve the dispute, the eldest son contacted their village headman. The elderly man arrived at their farm riding his bull. He patiently listened to the oldest son and said, “Your father was my friend. Please treat me too as your father. I will help you solve your problem. Let me begin by giving my bull to you and adding one more to the number of bulls that you already have. This would mean that you now have 18 bulls. The first son got half of the total number of bulls that totalled to nine bulls. The second son received a third of the total number of bulls which amounted to six bulls and the third son got two bulls or rather, one ninth of the 18 bulls. Therefore 9+6+2= 17. The village headman, who gave the judgement and also his bull, in order to fulfill his judgement, took his bull, which was the eighteenth bull, back and returned home after delivering a fair and just judgement.

The problem was solved, but along with that, a major question has also been answered. The judgement given by the village headman was a ‘Eureka’ moment. The eighteenth bull is like the “X” factor in algebra. If you keep it and know how to make use of it, you can solve your problem. But if you were to hold on to the thought that you don’t have a solution to your problem, you will never find one and will be forced to ‘chop the bull’ that you have!

Divine Grace is just like the eighteenth bull which, if you take into consideration, most of your problems can be solved. Don’t forget that above all, you have nothing to lose.”

    The River and The Lion

“After the great rains, the lion was faced with crossing the river that had encircled him. Swimming was not in his nature, but it was either cross or die. The lion roared and charged the river, almost drowning before he retreated. Many more times he failed to cross.

Exhausted, the lion lay down, and in his quietness he heard the river say, “Never fight what isn’t here.” Cautiously, the lion looked up and asked, “What isn’t here?” “Your enemy isn’t here,” answered the river. “Just as you are a lion, I am merely a river.”

Now the lion sat very still and studied the ways of the river. After a while, he walked to where a certain current brushed against the shore, and stepping in, floated to other side.” – From the book the little book of ‘Letting Go’ by Hugh Prather.

Is there something you are fighting? Take a moment to pause, quieten and study the situation. You may find that there is nothing to fight.

Out of the 195 countries in the world as of today, which include 193 member states of the UN, people from 131 countries have visited this simple site of ours which I created in February 2014.

I started this site with no specific plan as such but only because my heart told me
    a. to share with others the knowledge and joy that I have been receiving through numerous miracles in my life;
    b. to think aloud on this platform,
    c. to write about the methods I use to commune with the Supreme Bhagavan Krishna,
    d. and to use this site to disseminate the Divine Philosophy of the Sanatana Dharma by teaching the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and other Dharmic Scriptues.

It was indeed a great and touching moment for me when I counted the number of countries this site has been seen in. It made me feel highly blessed to have been given the Divine opportunity to touch the lives of people from all around the world.

Most people who found this site were those who were frantically looking for answers to the seemingly difficult questions they had during tough times in their lives. Everyone undergoes ups and downs in life. I personally have experienced extreme situations in mine including near death experiences and that is probably why I find it easy to relate to highly complex situations many of our visitors say they are in. According to me, a life without challenging situations to be overcome by us could be very boring and insipid.

One important question that comes to many people is how to encounter troubles that appear before them all of a sudden when they least expect? The first and foremost rule is to NEVER PANIC. When a person panics, their intelligence takes a back seat and they become highly vulnerable to all kinds of danger that are always lurking around everybody. They become nervous, depressed and many even become angry with God! Many become mental slaves of astrologers, astrology sites and blogs; and some others become devotees of godmen/godwomen, use the pictures of those babas and ammas as their DPs, donate whatever they have at the feet of those people and manage to completely wander away from the true path towards Krishna that they should be taking ! There are also many who take to alcohol or drugs and some who contemplate ending their lives. In truth, the best way to handle stressful, unpleasant and painful situations would be to first treat them as parts of your own learning and Karmic evolution process instead of thinking like a victim and believing that someone or some planet is harming you. Remember that every experience makes you richer and stronger and Sadé Sati is one such fantastic period which everyone should be doing their best to benefit from. The success and wealth that comes after Sadé Sati will surely stay longer with people and thanks to the downtime they already had (‘past Sadé Sati people’), they will surely use their wealth to help others who are in need and amass even more positive Karma (5th Pearl).

Everyone is a student in the ‘university of life’ and actively engages in the process of learning until the moment of their departure. It is learning and not money, that makes people richer. All kinds of material wealth will be left behind but what one certainly takes along while departing, are the senses and the mind (SBG 15:08). A well trained mind, deep spiritual knowledge and a divine nature which is formed by a perfect combination of the Gunas, are the main parts of the permanent intangible wealth that will remain and grow with Jivaatmas until they reach the final goal which is Paramatma.

Your mails with your thoughts and suggestions are always welcome.

People who wrote regularly on the Discussion forum, when they write to me, do keep inquiring about others and they convey their love and best wishes to all. I wouldn’t really like to name them here for fear of the possibility of missing out on some of them.

May you all stay blessed with excellent health, happiness, prosperity and peace.

This is comment and my views on your recent blog of why me while addressing to someone .. Though you have directed your advice to the person who questioned it well serves to refresh and motivate old timers like us who once had similar questions in mind .. I remember about 2 years back me too had such questions which I had sent to you …Further for last two years the situation has not really changed , rather it has became more complicated , may be be cause of Karmic reaction or Sade sati ., but the approach to look and problem and achieving stability of mind is something has changed . Now there is more matured understanding of situation why me . Your continuous guidance based on principal of BG as well as your own life experiences has enriched us to look at Life in different perspective . The fear is diminishing and there is final understanding that all that is what life challenges we are into are only experiences due to our Karmic cycles and progress , and there is no other way than to pass through the same while understanding Krishna . While we look around to so many souls in distress we understand we are not alone rather we are quite better than most of them . I always remember your words that the greatest gift to man from God is : You are alive , You are healthy and you have sound mind ..everything else is of is secondary …

  33. Your mind is where you perceive everything in your life. Therefore, true education should be how to use your mind.

    Namaste.

I would like to reiterate on the something that I am strongly convinced of and what I very often write about. It is about MASTERING ONE’S OWN MIND. A mind of a person that has not been harnessed, by default, always looks for reasons to justify the person’s perceived inability to do something, makes the person believe harder that they are not good enough and forces them to conveniently look away when there are opportunities and ways to change their life for the better. The erroneous belief that one is inadequate, is further strengthened by the numerous ads in the media, placed by major manufacturers of beauty, fitness and other such products, that constantly bombard people’s minds with subliminal instructions to buy their products in order to become ‘better’.

Although the Self in people is the same as the one in every other being, every single person, thanks to individual Karma, is unique. Trying to be like or appear as someone else is one of the prime causes behind feelings of inadequacy whereas respecting oneself leads to unconditional self acceptance, self confidence, mental power and optimism. When faced with a challenge, a pessimist complains that it is possible but difficult and an optimist confirms that it is difficult but possible. The optimist is someone who knows that their mind is their slave that does play mental games with them all the time, but they also know for sure that it would do whatever they wanted it to do. However, the struggling pessimist has not yet understood that their mind is not them but a mere tool. In Shloka 15:08 of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Bhagavan Krishna spoke about the mind being carried along by the master or the Self, Janma after Janma.
SBG 15:08 When the soul which is the master, acquires a body, it takes the mind and the five senses from the body it has left, just as the wind takes different odours along with it.

*A simple tip that I would like to give people, both men and women, who need help in fighting feelings of inadequacy would be to begin by paying attention to their sole possession that is sure to stay with them in the current Janma, namely, their body. Getting fit and physically strong spikes people’s confidence levels up in a matter of a few weeks. Many of our friends have followed this advice of mine and have seen marvellous improvements in their personal and professional lives. Your whole life, its length as well as its quality, depend entirely on your body. There cannot be anything more important than being thankful for your body, respecting it and taking good care of it by following a Sattvik diet, maintaining excellent hygiene and exercising regularly. It should interesting to note that the mind of a person with a healthy and strong body is more obedient and subservient to its master. How many people have you come across who are in great physical shape but lack self-confidence?

    Jai Shri Krishna.

With all due respect to one of our friends who replied to my post dated 30.05.2018 and after taking his permission, I am sharing below our yesterday’s mail communication.

    Jai Shri Krishna Sir,

Hope you have been keeping well. Long time since
I emailed you. I read the below post, very nicely described.

You have mentioned below ‘ accept the tough situation , keep fighting, beat the pain, taking the blows etc etc’ , why is there no mention of strategize and come out of it? Why do I have to bear the pain, if I have a alternate option, is there anything wrong in exercising it, that’s my question?

Why should I continue to suffer and make my life miserable .

For eg, a person got a new job , after a month he feels that this job is not meeting his expectation, there is too much pressure, money is not that great,
the team isn’t social etc etc..so basically he has to think everyday before going to office, in nut shell, he doesn’t enjoy the work he is doing currently.

He gets another offer which is good in terms of money, he likes the role but since he hasn’t joined he is not in a position to do the analysis as to how the new job is going to be.

Should he continue with his current job which he is not happy with or exercise the option.. and try to come out of his present and possibly try to take a chance or should he continue and stick around for more time, as it’s been just a month, mind you , he has an option which he can explore.

I have just presented a hypothetical situation and there could be n number of situations of varying degrees of severity.

    What are your thoughts.

    Thanks
    xxx

    My Response:
    Hi XXX,

Here is the entire sentence again, “But what our friend, who this post is meant for, needs to remember is that true manliness, is to stop complaining; being patient; courageously accepting the tough situation one is in; HANDLING IT CLEVERLY, and braving all kinds of challenges that come along with it; taking the blows; bearing the pain; and using one’s own inner strength and power in order to overcome all hurdles and difficulties; and like the Phoenix, rising again from the ashes.”

I think you missed the part of the sentence which I have written in the upper case above.

The whole thing about the SBG is learning to master the mind, using strategy, being fearless and egoless, not being attached to the result, being conscious of the new Karma you create, and fighting like a true Karmayogi until the end.

    Stay blessed.

This is a note to someone who wrote to me this morning expressing extreme anguish as he was on the verge of accepting total defeat. There have also been a few others, who have unclear minds; have weak faith and self confidence; are suffering under a “Why me?” mental trip; and are upset with Krishna; who have been writing to me for advice.

    Bhagavan Krishna said:
SBG 2:37 Either you will be killed in the battle and you will the celestial abodes or, you will win this battle and enjoy the kingdom on earth. Therefore arise and fight with resolution.

The above verse can serve as motivation for people who find themselves in the middle of the sea, to continue swimming instead of giving up and letting themselves sink only to become shark food. Fighting until the end is what even animals do. Bhagavan Krishna’s words literally mean, continue your fight until either you or your opponent survives. When you have a problem, treat it like an opponent, fight it with all your might until either you or the problem remains. Where there is a will, there will most certainly be a way too. The stronger your will and the force you exert, the higher the chances of your succeeding. A soul on fire is an extremely powerful force. This force is sufficient to activate every nerve, sinew and cell in your body to help you take on even the greatest of challenges. Everyone faces successes as well as downfalls in life. But what our friend, who this post is meant for, needs to remember is that true manliness, is to stop complaining; being patient; courageously accepting the tough situation one is in; handling it cleverly and braving all kinds of challenges that come along with it; taking the blows; bearing the pain; and using one’s own inner strength and power in order to overcome all hurdles and difficulties; and like the Phoenix, rising again from the ashes.

The Supreme Bhagavan asked Arjuna, SBG 2:02 O Arjuna, where, in this hour of crisis, did these qualities like weakness, which are unbecoming of honourable men, come from and take over you? Such qualities will prevent you from reaching higher levels in life and will also ruin your honour and get you a bad reputation.

Some people who are in trouble need to get it straight into their head that neither is Krishna testing them nor is any planet punishing them for something bad they did in the past. It is ridiculous to believe in such nonsense. Those people should try and clear their mind of such stupid thoughts. Everyone is directly responsible for their life and for all that happens in it. Therefore, stop blaming others, Krishna or planets for misfortunes in your life. The hard truth is that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Your present is a result of your past Karma and your future will depend on your present Karma. If things are going wrong, find out why they are going wrong, work on thoroughly analysing the situation you are in, and avoid being a wimp wasting time writing sob stories on astrology blogs. Sadé Sati is a self correcting period that destiny, based on one’s own past Karma, provides everyone with. Make the best of this time and evolve into becoming the finest version of you. Live and truly experience life by regarding it as a journey and don’t worry much about the destination which is usually either a pyre or a hole in the ground.

Krishna is in you. He is everywhere. Get the idiotic ‘God concept’ spread by organised religions out of your head. Being born in a Sanatana Dharmic family is enough to prove that you have amazing positive Karma. Be proud of yourself; love and respect yourself; and with full faith and total confidence, ask Krishna or the universe for whatever you wish. Be patient. What you wish for will surely be yours. Never entertain doubts in your mind.

SBG 4:40 The ignorant, the faithless and the doubting Self, proceed to destruction. For the one who doubts, there is happiness neither in this world nor in the other.

SBG 11:33 Therefore, get up and attain glory. Conquer your enemies and enjoy a prosperous kingdom. All these warriors have already been destroyed by Me. You are only an instrument, O Arjuna the ambidextrous one.

No matter what solution you are looking for, please remember one important fact – I am neither a baba, a swamy, a necromancer or any specially abled person. I am merely an ordinary mortal just like you and others. The ‘magic’ of empowering people that many of you say I perform, even in the most hapless of situations that people could be in, is simply because of my 100% Bhakti in Bhagavan Krishna.

However, I would like to reiterate on what I always say: The greatest magic in anyone’s life is life itself which is happening right now. Everything else is secondary and irrelevant.

Thank you for your wonderful response BLS ji 🙏
“but the farther we go, the more perfect it is, the more unadulterated, the more closely related to the loftiest speculations of our modern agnosticism.” This says it all. One of the serious problem our Dharmic society faces is the distortion done to the Sanatana Dharma by selfish gurus and babas whose preachings and actions have diverted people away from the right path into side lanes and have broken the community into countless sections. Each one has interpreted the supreme philosophy in their own way and has disfigured it to such an extent that numerous cults and sub religions have formed within the Sanatana (Hindu) Dharma. Does the common Hindu even know anything about Advaita Vedanta and about the teachings of Bhagavan Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita? To add to the misery, the warped concept of ‘Ahimsa’ pushed in the 20th century by a selfish pretender has further weakened the mental strength of Hindus and have turned many of them into lazy, docile and meek cows.

How many Hindus know that Bhagavan Krishna began His Upadesha asking Arjuna why he was a coward and where such weakness, unbecoming of brave men, come from and take over him?

How many ‘Dindus’ know that Bhagavan Krishna never asked Arjuna to turn the other cheek but to fight until only one survived?

(SBG 2:37) Either you will be killed in the battle and you will the celestial abodes or, you will win this battle and enjoy the kingdom on earth. Therefore arise and fight with resolution.

If each of us who have studied the Bhagavad Gita started sharing our knowledge with those who haven’t studied it, the positive difference it would make would be humongous.

All of us Dharmic people need to unite as one Blessed community and yet respect the regional, linguistic and other cultural differences that exist among us.

On a positive note, the developments in the last four years which have led Sanatanis to stand up and come together in much larger numbers than ever before is something that must be appreciated. The ridiculous tactics adopted by the dynasty, deshdrohis, the so called liberals, lefties apart from feminazis, have not had negative effects on us Dharmic people but have definitely contributed to our unification that was first triggered by our national leader and his party.

Recently a forty-something person born in a Dharmic (Hindu) family wrote to me saying that he did not like Krishna but adored Shiva. He said he did not like Krishna because he felt ‘Krishna plays with words, tries to follow Dharma and breaks laws’! He added that he believed that ‘Shiva is pure’. His lack of basic knowledge about the Santana Dharma even after his four decades as a Sanatani on the planet, instantly prompted me to create a new page with an index to some posts of mine regarding the Sanatana Dharma. It needs to be understood that the prime causes of the misconceptions that people born in Dharmic families have in their mind are threefold:
    a. The improper or insufficient spiritual education that they received from their family and teachers.
    b. The influence of the wrong ‘Sky-daddy God concept’ taught in missionary schools.
    c. The sway that babas, swamies, gurus, matas, etc. who create their worlds of followers have over them. They present themselves as avatars, lead people away from the path of Dharma and thrive as ‘ living Gods’.

People born in Dharmic families which are not converted to foreign religions need to take a moment to think about the amount of courage and determination their own ancestors must have had in order to resist temptation as well as fight fear due to the pressure from the then rulers when India was not free. Had even one of them converted, all the generations of people, that followed, who are now Dharmic (Hindus), would not have been Dharmic, but would have been mental and physical slaves of some convoluted foreign organised religion.

The least Dharmic people can do for their amazing ancestors is to learn, respect and preserve the traditions they followed. It is the Sanatana Dharma that they preserved, nurtured and left behind that has made The Dharmics (Hindus) what they are today and have given them the freedom to think and to live life the way they want.

Bhagavan Krishna to Arjuna, (SBG 4:34) “Acquire knowledge through reverence to teachers who have known the Truth, serve them and ask them questions until all your questions are answered. The wise who know the Truth will teach it to you.” What He meant was, acquire knowledge from learned, wise, older and more experienced people but keep going ahead to discover the Divinity in you instead of settling down as a devotee at the feet of some godman or godwoman who is also another mortal like you. In short, Bhagavan asked Arjuna to be a seeker until he reached the final goal of Super-Consciousness, Moksha or simply attaining Krishna.

It has been over four years since I started this site which has been receiving thousands of you visitors from all over the world and also blessed me with the opportunity of personally connecting with you wonderful people.

Most of you who came to this site were looking for solutions to challenges that you faced or simply for answers to questions that you had about life in general. Being totally convinced that learning to manage one’s own mind better is not just the first step towards solving all kinds of problems but also the panacea for troubles of all sorts, I took to spreading the Divine Teachings of Bhagavan Shri Krishna in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita which can be called the greatest mind management manual.

The knowledge that I have gained in my eventful life filled with miracles, adventure, travelling and a lot of amazing people is what I share through my sites. Nevertheless, in order to fully comprehend what I am saying, it would be absolutely necessary to patiently, read through the pages that I suggest in the same order that I give the links to the respective pages. A lot of people are highly confused about the ‘God concept’ and this contributes towards their mental turmoil when they ‘pray to God’ to help them with something but they feel their prayers are not being answered. Looking for someone to blame is normal negative quality of most humans but it can easily be overcome through knowledge. Until one has a delusional mind that believes someone else is causing them troubles or harm, they will not be able to attain mental peace. Every action has a reaction which means that if something is happening in your life, either good or bad, the only possible cause for it is yourself. Holding someone else, planets or God is absurd. Bhagavan Krishna said that the mind and the senses are carried by the Soul when it leaves a body. (SBG 15:08) Karma is not something that is recorded in a heavenly server in the sky! But all thoughts, words and deeds of a person are recorded as impressions on their mind which in turn influence the Gunas of a person. Therefore, people who would like to change their life, need to work on changing themselves and refining their own Gunas apart from praying or chanting Mantras.

The Sanatana Dharma although ancient, is the most advanced philosophy. You start studying it by reading scriptures such as Itihaasaas, Puranas and Upanishads and finally reach the stage of Super-consciousness. Each individual can decide whether they need multiple Janmas to reach the final goal or if they would like to do it during the current one.

Below are some Shlokas from the SBG which can greatly help in understanding the truth behind the ‘I’ in us. Learning this is the most important milestone in the one’s Karmic journey that people need to aim at achieving.

It is important to remember that the main reason behind a troubled mind is the fact that one has not come to terms with situations and things in their life, and that is because of a poor understanding of the ‘I’ in them.

SBG 6:07 The one who has conquered the mind has already reached Super-consciousness. Such a person has crossed all dualities such as cold and heat; pleasure and pain; honour and dishonour; and is always balanced, peaceful and steadfast in devotion.

SBG 6:31 He who worships Me residing in all beings in a spirit of unity, becomes a Yogi and, whatever circumstances he may be in, resides in Me.

SBG 13:15 The Supreme Truth exists both inside and outside of all moving and non living beings. The Supreme Truth appears far to the ignorant and near to those of knowledge.

SBG 13:27 The person who truly sees is the one who sees the Supreme Bhagavan, existing equally, the unperishing within the perishing.

SBG 13:28 Such a person sees the same Supreme Bhagavan dwelling equally everywhere does not destroy the Self his own self and he goes to the highest goal.

SBG 15:07 Souls in living beings are an eternal portion of Myself. They are bound by their material nature and draw towards them the five senses and the mind.

SBG 18:53 A person who has given up egoism, false strength, arrogance, anger, desire, and covetousness; is free from possessiveness and is always peaceful; is fit to attain Brahman or Super-Consciousness.

SBG 18:54 Becoming Brahman, serene in the Self, he neither grieves nor desires; he is the same to all beings and he attains supreme devotion unto Me.

If you are a follower of the Sanatana Dharma and understand even the basics of Advaita Vedanta, you will not consider troubles in life to be punishments but you will look at them as great learning experiences that make you wiser, stronger and richer in knowledge and experience.

Here is something that can make Vrischikans feel nice about themselves. It is said that being born under Vrischika rashi indicates a very high stage of Karmic evolution of the particular Jivatma. Many great sages including the Sage of Kanchi – Shankaracharya Shri Chandrashekharendra Saraswatiji were/are Vrischikans. The severe challenges faced by Vrischikans, teach them that they should not be allowing the enormous progress they have made in the process of their Karmic evolution to be affected by mundane problems of the material world. The greatest living Vrischikan that Vrischikans and also others can derive inspiration from is Karmayogi Shri Modiji who lives the life of a true Rajarishi. He follows the Srimad Bhagavad Gita to a T. His Supreme Guru is the Jagadguru Bhagavan Shri Krishna Himself.

  48. Steve Jobs died a billionaire at age 56. This is his final essay:

“I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In some others’ eyes, my life is the epitome of success. However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, my wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to. At this moment, lying on my bed and recalling my life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in have paled and become meaningless in the face of my death.

You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone bear your sickness for you. Material things lost can be found or replaced. But there is one thing that can never be found when it’s lost – Life. Whichever stage in life you are in right now, with time, you will face the day when the curtain comes down.

Treasure love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends. Treat yourself well and cherish others. As we grow older, and hopefully wiser, we realize that a $300 or a $30 watch both tell the same time. You will realize that your true inner happiness does not come from the material things of this world. Whether you fly first class or economy, if the plane goes down – you go down with it.

Therefore, I hope you realize, when you have mates, buddies and old friends, brothers and sisters, who you chat with, laugh with, talk with, have sing songs with, talk about north-south-east-west or heaven and earth, that is true happiness! Don’t educate your children to be rich. Educate them to be happy. So when they grow up they will know the value of things and not the price. Eat your food as your medicine, otherwise you have to eat medicine as your food.

The One who loves you will never leave you for another because, even if there are 100 reasons to give up, he or she will find a reason to hold on. There is a big difference between a human being and being human. Only a few really understand it. You are loved when you are born. You will be loved when you die. In between, you have to manage!

  49. Living in the NOW

The past is non-existent. Apart from the knowledge, which is nothing but retained memory of the things learned and the experiences gained, the past is not of much use. Dwelling in the past can only devour the fleeting present which slips by even without one experiencing it. However, pleasant memories from the past do have the power to motivate people to live the present in a manner better than they did in the past.

Every day, every sunrise or every moment, can be a new beginning of a blessed future. Waking up in the morning, which is a Supreme Divine Blessing and privilege denied to many, is the first great opportunity of the first day of the rest of one’s life. May everyone accept this priceless divine gift with all humility, gratitude, awe and reverence.

and the second begins when you realize you only have one.”

  50. The possibility of some people hurting you either knowingly or unknowingly is something that cannot be avoided. However, whom you allow to influence the state of your mind and whom you don’t allow to do so, completely depends on you. Never forget that whenever someone upsets you or makes you angry, sad or afraid, it only means that they are actually the boss of your mind and that they control it. Would you not like to take some time to think before letting someone do that to you instead of rushing in foolishly and causing a painful permanent scar on your heart?

This is something very important that young people particularly those who are single, might want to bear in mind at their place of work or in other social circles that they are a part of.

  51. Stop worrying because it is nothing but a waste of time. Instead, enjoy the present which is a priceless present. Do not forget that worrying can also amount to lack of gratitude despite all the good things one already has had or still has.

Life is the greatest gift one receives every moment of life. Therefore, live it sensibly, thankfully, happily and righteously.

The FAQs page on our site also serves as a ‘Sanatana Dharma for dummies‘ page.

As I have mentioned many times earlier on this site, the fact that one is born in a Dharmic family or is even attracted towards Dharmic principles indicates excellent past Karma and a much higher level of Karmic evolution. However, there is a very large percentage of Dharmic people who, due to various reasons during their upbringing, hardly have any knowledge about the principles of the Sanatana Dharma. Understanding even the basics regarding Universal Oneness, the ‘I’ or the ‘Self’ in people; the mind, body and ego complex; Karma, and above all, Krishna, can change people’s lives almost immediately. People with such an understanding, usually do not blame planets or other people for the troubles and challenges that they undergo but know that everything that happens in their life is a result of Karma and that even the most horrible negative past Karma, can be corrected through knowledge, devotion and right action.

    The Sanatana Dharma

    What does ‘Sanatana Dharma’ mean?
It can be translated as ‘The eternal way of life’ although the word ‘Dharma’ does not have an exact equivalent in English. More under FAQ no. 2…
What is the actual name of the Sanatana Dharma? Is it not Hinduism?
The Sanatana Dharma was not started by someone or named after any individual. It is a way of life which is in tune with nature and is also steadily evolving. It is a collection of practices based on the principle of undergoing various stages through many lifetimes in order to experience universal oneness and attain super-consciousness. It has no fixed belief system, a particular book with a code of conduct or heavenly messengers. It does not have any corporate hierarchy or mandatory weekly congregations. The Sanatana Dharma has been there since the time when no organised religions existed and as there was no other way of life, it did not require a name.

An ‘Emetic Agent’ for the Mind.

Many of us have surely had situations in life, when we felt that there was something deep in our mind that disturbed us but we did not know what it was. We would break our heads trying to figure out the cause of the uncomfortable feeling that was bothering us but we would rarely succeed in doing so on our own. When such situations became unbearable, we would usually go to elders, friends or professionals for counsel so that they could help us feel better. READ ON..

  56. The relation between being born in a Dharmic family or being attracted to Dharmic principles and one’s past Karma.

Chapter 6आत्मसंयमयोग – Aatma Samyama YogaThe Yoga of Meditation and Self Realisation

Were you born in a Dharmic family or were you born in a non-Dharmic family but are still attracted to Yogic principles? Well, you may give yourself a pat on your back! The reason is given below:

Being born in a Dharmic family (a family that follows the Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism), Sikh or Jain Dharma) or being born into a family that had converted to some other organised religion in the past but you somehow feel attracted to Dharmic/ Yogic principles, both signify good past Karma.

    SBG 6:43
There his previous divine consciousness is revived and he comes in contact with the knowledge acquired in his former body. He then works even harder in order to achieve perfection, O Arjuna.

    6:44
With the divine consciousness from the previous birth, a person gets attracted to Yogic principles as they will come to him even if he does not go behind them. Such a person strives for yoga and is steadfast in Yogic principles.

    Note:
A person who has fallen from Yoga or the path of Self Realisation, is taken with the help of Yoga, towards his goal which he left incomplete in his previous birth. However, some past negative Karma may hold the person back from fully adopting Yogic principles.

Even if the most sinful worships Me, with exclusive devotion, he should indeed be regarded as righteous, for he has taken the right resolution.

    SBG 9:31
Soon he becomes righteous and he attains eternal peace; O Arjuna, you should know for sure that one who is devoted to Me, is never destroyed.
    ——————————————————————————————-
    SBG 9:32
Any one can come unto Me, O Arjuna, whatever be their race, gender or social status. Even those shunned by the society can approach Me the Supreme Destination and attain the Highest Goal.

However, those who practise Karmayoga are free from disappointments and sorrows because they have a balanced mind and are not worried about the results.
