  1. Your Karma

Never blame others or any external factor for the challenges or favourable situations in your life. Your PRESENT is the result of your PAST and your FUTURE will be the result of your PRESENT. Always be responsible.

This video is about the missionary menace that has been plaguing India and many other countries. It is most unfortunate that a lot of people who do not possess any knowledge of even the fundamentals of the Sanatana Dharma and of other organised religions that entered India from other countries, make bold but clichéd statements such as ‘all religions are the same,’ or ‘whichever your religion, follow it thoroughly,’ and so on.

I made my first video on this topic in the Tamil language because I am well aware of the fact that there are numerous powerful and wealthy missionary organisations thriving in the state of TN, especially deep down in the south.

May this video serve as an eye-opener to people who are at risk of being brainwashed by missionaries and other soul traders who live off destroying the lives of others.

This video also strongly urges people to read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita at least once in their lifetime.

May all live as one large Dharmic family – Vasudheiva Kutumbakam.

    ‘The Gitangelist’

This new channel is dedicated to enabling as many people as possible as well as simplifying the understanding of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and reaching it to all.

In a world in which, almost every organised religion aims at controlling societal as well as demographic changes by claiming to be holier and better than other religions, and punishing those of other faiths and beliefs, there is a growing need of zealously spreading the knowledge of the principle of Universal Oneness and of the natural law of Cause and Effect known as Karma that form the principal foundations of the timeless Sanatana Dharma.

The name ‘Gitangelist’ stems from my missionary zeal, that drives me to make people aware of the fundamentals of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and Advaita Vedanta of the Sanatana Dharma.

Comprehending the Omnipresence of Divinity and of Karma can almost instantaneously give a seeker mental peace and a sense of spiritual bliss.

May peace reign in your heart, mind, and soul.

    Jai Shri Krishna

  4. A Run-through of the Srimad
    Bhagavad Gita by Tavamithram

Most issues in life can be easily handled, and even the greatest of challenges can be comfortably overcome simply by altering one’s way of perceiving them. This calls for mastery over one’s own mind.

I call the Srimad Bhagavad Gita the timeless, universal and best mind management manual ever.

This Run-through of the SBG is aimed at quickening and simplifying going through all the 18 chapters of the scripture and comprehending the basic philosophy that it teaches encompassing universal oneness, Karma, Dharma, the nondualistic philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, Fearlessness, Social Responsibility, Respect for Nature, and above all, the highly misunderstood ‘God Concept’ of the Sanatana Dharma.

The Supreme Truth exists equally in all beings thus making all beings equally Divine. There is no being that is inferior or superior to others. The Self in everyone is Krishna or the Supreme Brahman (Ref: Shloka 10:20)

Following the Divine Teachings of Krishna and learning to live the life of a true KarmaYogi are sure to guide a seeker on the path of righteousness through a rewarding and fulfilling life.

May you stay blessed with excellent health, freedom, peace, happiness and prosperity.

    Jai Shri Krishna

The Four Unifying Factors for Indians

Coming to think of it, after centuries of slavery under brutal foreign rulers belonging to barbaric cults, after achieving independence in the year 1947; after Sardar Patel convinced the rulers of 562 princely states to join the Indian union; after being ruled by a plundering dynasty for almost seven decades and being divided in the name of religion, caste, etc.; it is only now that Bharat or India is beginning to get back her truly deserved status in the world. It is thanks to the sincere, arduous, relentless, courageous, visionary, altruistic, patriotic, and socially responsible efforts by the current Indian Prime Minister who is a living example of a true KarmaYogi. The Pink Elephant and the Power of FOCUS

What a photographer who wishes to shoot a picture usually does include aiming the camera at the subject, turning the dial to adjust the focus, confirming if the light available is sufficient for the exposure, holding the camera steady, and finally shooting. A gunman or an archer also does something similar to what the photographer does except that when he shoots, a projectile is fired out of his weapon unlike what happens in a camera.

    Burn Karma through knowledge

Some people wonder why bad things keep happening to them again and again and why they always get cheated or let down by others. As a matter of fact, there are patterns which time and again, occur in everybody’s life….

  14. Namaste.

This is my first video in Tamil. I plan to do videos in a few other languages that I know.
Two important reasons for the ‘sufferings’ due to challenges that people of the Sanatana Dharma face are due to the fact that a lot of people have a wrong ‘God concept’ and because they do not have a proper understanding of Karma.

This video is a modest attempt of mine to reach out to Tamil speaking people and help them comprehend the basics of the philosophy of the ancient, natural, rational, scientific and amazing Sanatana Dharma, doing which, can help people remove fear, sadness, anger, hatred, aggression and all other such factors that can have no positive effect on their life or in their Karmic journey.

The Atman and its ‘checked baggage’

In my PodTalk No. 06 ‘Thoughts, Desires, Passion and Lust’, I said that a thought has two parts, namely the subject and the object. The object is what or who one thinks of and the subject is invariably the false ‘I’ or the false ego which veils the real ‘I’, the ‘Self’ or the consciousness of a person. This false ego is based on the identification of the ‘Self’ with the body along with its attributes such as strength, beauty, general appearance and so on. The false ‘I’ which is seated in the mind, that I call the two-faced trickster, tricks the real ‘Self’ into believing that the false ‘I’ is the real ‘Self’.

    Is Karmic Retribution True?

Many people believe that troubles in life are a result of Karmic retribution. Well, it is quite understandable that past Karma could be a cause for not only the bad times that one experiences in life but also for the good ones, but calling it ‘retribution’, goes against the very principle of ‘Cause and Effect’.

    SBG 2:37
Either you will be killed in the battle and you will attain the celestial abodes or, you will win this battle and enjoy the kingdom on earth. Therefore arise and fight with resolution.

  18. Extreme ego, the feelings of entitlement, the ‘I deserve better’ attitude or simply one’s inability to come to terms with the reality are usually the common factors that drive one to go to the extent of ending their own life.

With all due respect to the unfortunate people who ended their lives, I would like to tell people who are currently battling challenges that it depends on an individual to view life either as a battle that causes ‘pains’ and ‘sufferings’ or as a ride on a giant rollercoaster that adds experience to life. A truly fulfilling life is one which is filled with different kinds of experience. Should you feel that your life is full of challenges, you need to be only thankful for being blessed with such a life because it offers you great learning opportunities.

All situations change. Be patient and learn from the challenges you face while you work for your future and wait for your time.

    Thoughts, Desires, Passion and Lust

We all are aware that the Srimad Bhagavad Gita is a dialogue between Arjuna and Bhagavan Krishna. Arjuna was not only in a dilemma, but he was also under severe stress because he was unsure of what he was supposed to do. He found it difficult to decide what was righteous and what was not. This uncertainty led his mind to his being deluded which in turn made him consider giving up and walking away. He was also ready to stand unarmed and get killed by the Kauravas – SBG 1:46 “It would be better for me if the sons of Drtaraashtra killed me with weapons while I stood unarmed and not resisting.”

Towards the end of his conversation with Bhagavan Krishna, it becomes clear to Arjuna that all the problems he faced, existed only in his mind and that the ways to be victorious in the battle between the negative forces and positive virtues within him, were to have absolute faith, to master his own mind and to change his way of thinking.

Mental Freedom and Happiness vs. Mental Dependence and Heartaches

Almost everyone has undergone heartaches caused by someone who hurt them or left them for someone else. It could have been among school friends, colleagues, relatives or romantic couples who had sworn earlier they would never leave. From a psychological point of view, such a heartache can be said to be a result of ego, attachment and the will to possess the loved person. Play the video below to listen to the talk.

Is your CUP HALF-FULL or is it HALF-EMPTY? Are people in general continuously LIVING or are they steadily DYING?
All living beings are constantly on a crescendo towards that climax moment of the physical death of their perishable bodies. However, since the Atman or the Self is imperishable, physical death signifies merely the end of one brief leg of the grand Karmic voyage of their True Self within them.

Bhagavan Krishna handles this most important fact of life in the second chapter of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita right at the beginning of His Discourse. The sky is the limit for the one who has overcome the fear of death.

  25. KARMA and the ‘Why me?’ question

It is an irrefutable fact that everybody possesses some degree of a personality trait called narcissism. Of course, the degree of narcissism in a person is what that separates a normal person from someone who needs professional help. However negligible one’s degree of narcissism might be, it certainly is capable of pushing a person towards the feeling of entitlement, selfishness and also the typical ‘Why me’ Question. READ MORE

Compatibility problems and disagreements happen to people from all walks of life. Trouble in a relationship usually starts when there are misplaced expectations. It is a natural quality of humans to expect others to be like them and want them to agree with them in everything.

  29. Understanding the ‘Who am I?’ question through the Chariot Analogy explained to Nachiketa in the Kat-hopanishad by Yama, the lord of death.

Ego plays a major part in the lives of people. It is one of the major causes for discords among people including closely related people, married couples, close friends and colleagues at work. The lack of understanding about who one is and how actions are performed by people is the prime reason behind this mental disease called ego which invariably leads people to major downfalls.

Young Nachiketa receives the divine knowledge directly from Yama, the lord of death. Standing face to face before death blessed him with Atmajnyanam or the knowledge of the Self.

Understanding the brevity of life and the impermanence of all material possessions removes ego and all other negative qualities associated with it.

  31. Namaste,

This post is in response to some mails I have received from people who are nursing a broken heart or are undergoing stressful situations due to separation from someone they loved and shared their life with. This is not a response to any particular mail from anyone but a few thoughts on ways to handle a breakup.

Separation can be something gloomy, melancholic, stressful or traumatic but at the same time it can also a great relief for those who suffered due to bad relationships or marriages.

We come across thousands of people in our life but how many do we get to know, make friends with, build deep and sincere relationships with, get married to and live together until the end. Therefore, there must be some Karmic reasons for people to come together in a life time, especially when they are from different corners of the world and met despite the odds of their meeting being were very low.

Two things about a breakup are that either you wanted to happen or you didn’t want it to happen.
